He is not needed. Id like to get some Dline help for him. I also would get MJD for a 5th. The guy obviously hates playing there. Hes only 28.

I don't think we are getting anything for Miles, he has looked old and slow all year and now those legs are acting up.... MJD would be ok I guess for a late pick but as long as we bring in someone to help I think Randle can split the load with Turner or Wells if either is I'm shape... I know it's not ideal but it never is when your every down back sufferers an injury that will make him miss 5 or 6 games

It amazes me how overrated he is within this fanbase.

Cut him during the offseason, he can be the "just in case " guy. Im done with him, I see no value in him, just wait til offseason and cut bait.

I would try to fleece Atlanta and see if they bite. It probably won't happen but if they looked playoff bound, they just might get desperate :D

Miles is worth more to Cowboys than whoever they get for Miles (if trade took place, which I highly doubt).

Do the other teams not watch film or check injury reports? What GM doesn't know that Mile's hammies are about to snap?

Combine his propensity for injury with his high salary, and I don't think anyone would trade for him.

Why cut ties now? Keep him on the team and evaluate during the off season.

I agree. What benefit is there to rushing this guy out the door mid-season? At the very least he provides depth. Imagine if we got rid of him now and then one of the others got injured? Receiver could go from a position of depth to a position of need real real quick.

I'd say just wait and see how the rest of the year plays out for Miles and deal with him accordingly in the offseason.

Even GOOD WRs rarely get trades for much. I'd say Miles Austin at this point is worth no more than a 6th/7th round draft pick.

I like Miles but something is off... He didn't get a ball thrown his way last night til the play in the end zone... Sure Romo could have put it 1 or 2 yards in front of him but Miles just waited for the ball to come to him.... He should have planted his feet and jumped and fought for the ball at its highest point, I learned that in pop warner... Maybe he makes the play, maybe he doesn't... He may have even drawn a Pass interference if he did that. But at least he would have looked like he cared and I know Miles is a professional and tries his hardest so that tells me he couldn't his body wouldn't let him... Those hamstring injuries have taken it toll. The guy earns too much money to get a "pass" so it's time to move on. Unfortunately no one will give anything up to get him at this point.

Stoping the progression on 2 young promising WRs in Williams and Beasley. As long as Miles is here he will be on the field more than those 2 who are both more productive than him right now and obviously in the future. That seems like a benifit to me.

It looked like Williams was on the field almost the entire game yesterday on offense. Looks like they're at least leaving Williams out there when Miles is on the field.

Nobody will bite. Besides he still is more valuable to this team than any other team, even if it is only as insurance. Miles will likely be given the Doug Free ultimatum this offseason and will have a decision to make.

That pretty much nails it. I would rather watch a hungry TWill and Cole over an apathetic Miles. He looks to be just going through the motions now. With Miles or not, Williams will see his time but Beasley will suffer and this teams needs that quick threat in there. Cole is a nice change of pace for defenses to adjust too.

TWill had 27 yds, while Beasley had 44. Yes, Miles didn't do anything, but the td throw to him was not on target, and other than that, he didn't get many chances. Romo wasn't exactly stellar in the 2nd haf.

Then you just change the pecking order of the receivers. You don't get rid of Miles altogether mid-season. ESPECIALLY if this offense is going to be trotting out there in this spread look with 4 receivers on a regular basis. We'll need that depth later in the year. Guys get banged up.
