Is Miles trade asset now?

Beasley needs to start in the slot. Period. We are a better offense with him in there.

I truly believe having him inactive the first two weeks cost us the KC game. He would have been the answer to how they were playing us.

This isn't about what Miles WAS for us, or what he COULD be if healthy.

It's about now.

I personally think Miles is more valuable to us than a 7th rounder or whatever we would get in return for him. Miles isn't right YET. But he'll get there and this offense will be even better when he does. No reason to make it a competition. Miles and Beasley were on the field a the same time yesterday in our 4 receiver sets.

I wasn't impressed enough with the offense to get rid of a weapon.

See the DL and RB's....

Is it such a bad idea to keep a stable full of good WR's?

In fact, of all of our WR's - which is the most gimpy? Miles Austin.

First of all, why would anyone trade for a guy with chronic injuries for anything of substance?

Secondly, why not just keep him?

Keep him on the bench. Let him completely heal. And, bring him in fresh in the last 1/3 of the season. He could beast and feast on tired CB legs.

I'd take Jared Allen for him in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately, Jared Allen's salary is 14M this season. The Cowboy would have to pay 11/16ths of it if he were acquired this week. Also, about 6.6M of dead-money from Austin's contract would accelerate into this year's cap.

Miles does look slow and older for some reason. I noticed his effort wasn't very good last night. He just seems to be goring thru the motions out there. Hopefully his snaps will decrease and the hungry young guys will be good

Just keep him until this season is over. i would hate to get rid of him and then Williams, Dez get hurt and we don't have that depth.

Chances are that Austin won't be able to step up anyway. If he is kept for depth, his hamstring will still be an issue. I don't see cutting him at this point and nobody would trade for him. The team is kinda stuck with him. He was just a bad signing.
