I could accept the diva attitude and antics if he did not fade late in the season and in the playoffs
BUT part of that could be he is getting too many snaps battling LTs and it wears him out

Here is how your average fan opinion was formed:

#1 - His own Youtube show. Rubbed anyone over 30 wrong.
#2 - Disappeared in playoff games, Cowboys choked, defense fell apart in DQ's last seasons. Fans started to get suspicious.
#3 - The leaked report from 105.3FM to hurt his contract negotiations. Confirmed what the fans suspected.
#4 - No OTA. Coach Mac's comment taken out of context. Fans ballistic.

I think it's all overblown. I don't think any of his opportunities are any different than the rest of the team. He's not a cancer, that's for sure. The whole team collapsed against Green Bay.
:clap:Something I think fans overlook is the goal of every offensive coor is to shut him down or minimize his impact via schemes, double teams or whatever. This should create opportunities for other players. Hell, he even admitted he wanted to make other players around him. Listen, the kid is a different cup of tea but NO ONE can deny he is one hell of a player AND still growing. Yet some fans are ready to run him out of town. One poster said would trade him if he could get two No.1s and a 2nd........well, if he's worth that then maybe we keep him. (lol)

No question.......the kid is literally playing two positions at an ALL-Pro level. One game you battling 300lb+ LTs and another game you chasing RB ot TEs.

When you have watched enough football and seen enough "highest paid player" contracts handed out you start to get a feel for which players are likely to be worth every penny and which players have the possibility of being a disaster.

Of course he is a bad guy that is part of what makes him great. Ray Lewis was a bad guy. Ronnie Lott was a bad guy. Irvin was a bad guy. The thing is those guys cared about winning. They were 100% committed to it. They wanted to leave behind a legacy of greatness. Parsons does not appear to be that type of bad guy. He is the D Flaw kind of bad guy. They care about themselves and nothing else.
The big difference is that Ray and Ronnie played like Dawgs the full 16 games all season AND against the best offenses.....Parsons, not so much

too focused on the sack, not having a well rounded game

also talking too much between games and during the offseason (which is mostly due to him doing a podcast)

Not saying I agree either is bad, this is just the negative spin out there
I can't call him having a podcast as a failure. That seems extreme. As far as too focused on sacks....is there such a thing?

sure there is; I guess you forget times when the player is so fixated on sacking the QB that a screen or draw scores a TD

Is that too focused on getting a sack or is that simply not being able to stop the run? D Law is great at stopping the run but not getting sacks. Is he too focused on stopping the run? I just don’t think that’s an actual issue. He needs to play the run better sure.

Oh man you really do not see things do you? Of course the sack masters are after sacks; and some of them are NOTORIOUS for being poor against the run because of their fixation on sacks.

Gives 100% effort all the time on the field, non-stop motor and will play til he can't go anymore. His playing career at his current pace of play and putting him at DE is going to be short. He better get his money on this first deal here or who knows what is left. He is a bent over backward by a 6'7" tackle away from a back injury.

I won't fault him for trying to push the issues to get paid a bit early. He is a much better bet than Zeke was!!! That said I would trade him for a load of picks because we are going to use him up and it will get us nowhere!

I think that's forum fodder. Micah is here to rush the passer. IF he was playing linebacker I'd understand. But being undersized edge playing against tackles......sometimes lining up over guards...seems like scheme has more to do with his inability to play well against the run.
