Thanks for the September 2014 and January 2015 articles where Tillman, not the team, says he wants to come back. I stand completely corrected. Please let me know if you are available to represent me if I ever need a lawyer or agent...

Good show- a man must know his limitations. And don't ever try to represent yourself either... There are much better options out there.

Here's my card...

Well, it's better than Claiborne starting. That position is certainly a weakness. No depth at any level of our defense. Injuries will happen, and we will depend on players not yet on the roster. Sound familiar?

I love when people make unequivocal, authoritative comments when they have very little idea about what they speak. You realize that Chicago has a new defensive coordinator (Vic Fangio), will be switching from a 4-3 Tampa 2 defense (that fit Tillman), to a 3-4 press man defense (that fits Ball)? Actually, I'm sure you did not realize that before posting. Maybe read up a little first next time...

Don't forget about me as your agent, I need a piece of the pie.. By the way you better be in training, since you might get picked in the 7th round by the Cowboys.

I agree. Which is why I rarely speak without knowing what I'm talking about. lol I follow the NFL as close as I do the Cowboys. Maybe you should try a little reading comprehension to go with that snark. Bears acquisition of Ball has nothing to do with whether they bring back Alan Ball. He signed a one year deal, not some multi-year, franchise level deal. There are no reports ruiling out a return for Peanut just because of the regime change. They need bodies. They need depth.

Charles Tillman hints at return to Bears for '15 season

Now that the Chicago Bears have placed Charles Tillman on season-ending injured reserve with a torn triceps, the question is whether the venerable cornerback will return for a 13th season in 2015.

Tillman suggested in a statement Monday that retirement is not on his mind after tearing the same triceps for the second time in 10 months.

"I appreciate the kind words of encouragement and support from all the Bears fans who have reached out to me," Tillman said, via the Chicago Sun-Times. "I know this feeling way too well, but this isn't the end of the road for me.

Lance Briggs and Charles Tillman both want to return to the Chicago Bears
By Lester A. Wiltfong Jr.@wiltfongjr on Jan 30, 2015,

last year Charles Tillman ended the season on injured reserve for the Chicago Bears for the second consecutive time. After the 2013 season, the Bears felt he was rehabbed enough to help them out for another year, so they gave the 32 year old a 1 year deal. This off season, coming off another triceps injury, and another year older, the decision to bring Tillman back rests on an entirely new regime.

Tillman is "excited" about the direction of the Bears franchise now that Fox replaced Marc Trestman as head coach and now that Vic Fangio has replaced Mel Tucker as defensive coordinator. At some point in the near future a decision will be made in regards to bringing back the 12 year veteran for a 13th season, but if it were up to Tillman, he'd be back.

"I feel good," Tillman said. "Rehabbing, but I feel awesome, like I'm ready to go."

"Yeah, I'd like to be in Chicago," Tillman said. "I'm feeling good, feel great. I've been there 12 years. It would be 13 now. I don't know. We'll see what happens.

Hey Woody's Girl, care to eat some crow?

"Tillman’s departure came as no surprise. New general manager Ryan Pace and coach John Fox never indicated any interest in re-signing the 34-year-old, who finished the last two seasons on injured reserve with a torn right triceps."

Nope. Because my original stmt in this whole thread that Ball's arrival had nothing to do with Peanut Tillman. I stand by that.

No, your original statement in this whole thread was: "No to Peanut Tillman. Good, solid player, whose trying to return to the Bears."

But whatever, I will know how to evaluate your posts going forward...

And did not the articles I posted point toward Tillman trying to return to the Bears?

Just because it didn't happen doesn't mean he didn't want to.

But you can evaluate whatever you want, you holding onto stuff that doesn't matter. The overriding point is I didn't want him on the Cowboys.

He signed with Carolina. If the team had brought him in I think Carr would have been cut but now I think he is safe.

Panthers agreed to terms with CB Peanut Tillman, formerly of the Bears, on a one-year contract.

The 34-year-old is reuniting with ex-Bears DC Ron Rivera. Tillman played for Rivera three of his first four years in the league. Tillman was one of the league's very best corners in 2012, but biceps injuries have limited him to just 10 combined appearances over the past two seasons. Snaps will be there for the taking in Carolina's malleable secondary, but Tillman will have to stay healthy before anything else. His age and injury history mean his spot on the 53-man roster is not assured. All 156 of Tillman's NFL games have come in a Bears uniform.
