they always have a dominant two way dt. they had f cox for a decade. Now they have two younger d tackles with cox still rotating. we have good outside guys like ware and
Micah. Their defenses are consistently more physical and better against the run. we both build up the o lines and receiver corps. you can argue daks a better qb. they have two number one wr s and a top te. they made two superbowls in the last 5 years. we often rush the passer and cover well but struggle defending the run. Is that the key?
Howie is one of the very best, no doubt. We’re also pretty good as our draft and recent trade history shows.

They’re better at finding QBs. That’s the main thing. They’ve gone to the post season with at least 5 different qbs in the last 15 years. Cowboys are afraid to move on from any qb with moderate success.

I was sad at the Quincy Carter conclusion but i was happy they move on because I never believed in him, even(no especially) after the year he took us to the postseason. If he didn’t submit to his demons, jerrry would’ve paid him and he would’ve been our qb for a decade

Once again: the Eagles are great @ finding stupid teams to unload their drafted trash QB's on for a ridiculous amount of draft capital. Rinse & repeat.

In all seriousness, treating teams who are playing the best at any given time as "the blueprint" is a flawed mindset.

A lot of teams, even the Cowboys at times over the years, jumped on whatever trends were happening in the NFL by the teams playing the best and it rarely works out because there are always more factors than the surface level obvious ones that people see and talk about.

The best way I think you judge whether a team is better than your team is to see how many Super Bowls they have won since you won your last one.

The Cowboys have gone 28 years without winning a Super Bowl, in that time these are the teams who have won Super Bowls along with the number of times they won them:

Code:
New England (6)
Denver (3)
Baltimore (2)
Green Bay (2)
Kansas City (2)
New York Giants (2)
Pittsburgh (2)
Tampa Bay (2)
Indianapolis (1)
Los Angeles Rams (1)
Philadelphia (1)
Seattle (1)
St. Louis (1)

You could argue that all of those teams have had better personnel departments than the Cowboys during the years they won Super Bowls.

At the current time, everyone is anointing the Eagles, 49ers and Chiefs as the Super Bowl favorites, so as a result, they are "the blueprint" to building a successful team.

In the end though, only one team, maybe one of those or maybe someone else, will win the Super Bowl and be worthy of being envied.

Easy answer. In the past 28 seasons the Eagles have won a Super Bowl and appeared in a lot of NFC championship games. It’s not even close. We all hate the Eagles but facts come before any illusions that we are an elite org. We’ve been great recently in the regular season, but every Cowboys team is measured by deep playoff runs and nothing else matters to fans.

dak is good but not great. h e misses open guys. he doesn't always see the field well. he won't go to his top guy enough. tell him he'll never make more than 35 again for this team. get competition. stop only drafting guys built like m Irvin. actually use your speed wr s. draft dominant dts

Which team would you rather be?

The 2007 New England Patriots who went into the playoffs 16-0 and headed into the Super Bowl at 18-0 only to lose for the first time all season?

.. or ..

The 2007 New York Giants who went into the playoffs as a wildcard at 10-6 and won the Super Bowl against a 18-0 team?

Which team had the better personnel department? The 10-6 team or the 16-0 team?

We are better at drafting by a little.
They are better at trades, free agency and selecting HCs.
They have a real GM, not an owner pretending to be one.
Makes a real difference.
