You guys need to read up on David Tepper, owner of the Panthers (sorry, live in NC, stuck with them and can't help avoid them 24/7).
I was reading a couple of stories about Tepper and watching a couple of discussions of him online this weekend.
Reality is, Tepper reminds me a lot of Jerry Jones all but for the fact Tepper didn't luck out of having a Jimmy Johnson type as a friend who he could bring in.
On average, I'd guess most successful NFL teams have owners who let the people they hire run the organization and they stay out of operations and running the show for the most part (behind the scenes when they do). Generally speaking, when you have family involved running a business, the brains can pass a generation or two and you get your business into trouble.
Here is the thing about the NFL business and in part a reason why Jerry Jones is so successful with the Cowboys IMO. David Tepper paid 2.2 billion dollars for the Carolina Panthers in May of 2018. Less than 6 years later, the Panthers (one of the biggest dumpster fires in the NFL in part due to Tepper's meddling of the team he owns) is now worth 4.1 Billion dollars. What other business is there where you can come in, have a total cluster fiasco, keep having a total fiasco directly involving ownwership, yet still increase the net worth of the company? FACT is Jerry Jones should be paying Jimmy Johnson royalties.
Do I honestly believe the NFL is rigged? No. Do I think the NFL is exactly like the WWE or whatever pro wrestling is now called? Yes. In Jerry's defense, he helps the NFL make money.
