Is Prescott another Romo?

Romo threw his picks in the 4th quarter of games. Dak likes to throw his in the 2nd quarter for some reason.

Dak is wild in 1st halves, he sails passes and seems like it takes him a while to settle in to the game. Broaddus mentions this a lot, he thinks Dak calms down once he’s been knocked around a little bit and stops overthinking.

The way Romo gets dragged here in light of Dak’s often abysmal play is legitimately embarrassing. So much revisionist history. Romo carried teams with half the skill position talent Dak has and never had a defense remotely this good. Just embarrassing.
Talk about revisionist history. Romo didn't carry anything. I was one of Romo's biggest fans and I don't deny he had better arm talent than Dak or I atleast think he did....but since he retired there's fans in this fanbase who have made him out to be Brady. He's much closer to Dak than he is Brady let's be honest here. He and Dak win games differently but their careers are damn near parrallell.

Like how can anyone sit here and say Dak had talent but Romo didn't lol. Mind you this same forum said The cowboys would suck this year because they didn't have talent. Now all of a sudden its just so much talent on this team. Its a joke. Has to be.

Romo threw INTs at the very worst time and Rayne Dakota is inconsistent…..take your pick

Both flashed at times and have their own different pros and cons. Very different qbs.

Prescott is definitely more inconsistent and spotty on his accuracy, but he has a knack for making the gotta have it plays.

Romo was kind of the opposite, but I think if you gave Romo Prescott’s teams he would have had more success. Would have been less on his shoulders.

The funny part is that both QB's were great, buts it hilarious to listen to the QB challenged know nothings try to rationalize each one.

The truth is that the two QB's although very different in style are about as equal as you can get as far as quality of QB. And both of them suffer from the EXACT same issues the other did which at times could make them appear to be inconsistent in the eyes of a know nothing layman.

Defense, coaching, Oline, run game.

Revionist history is somehow thinking Romo is some goat, despite the fact that everyone besides Cowboys fans easily take Eli over Romo. But according to Cowboys fans the guy with 2 Super Bowls suck, and the guy with 2 playoff wins is elite.

Dak not near a good as Tony.
Just step back and think what Tony would have done with today’s defense.

You means todays defense that couldnt stop the 1-11 Texans with their starting WR's out until the final drive. Until this week the texans hadnt scored more than 20 points in the last 7 games.

But no doubt the Romo haters would have blamed Romo as well.

No one has made Romo out to be Brady. Romo played on a historically atrocious Dallas defense team and kept a team above water that could hardly swim sometimes. A team that on defense gave up 330 yards passing to a single receiver — CJ.

Plus he had Garrett coaching him as both OC and HC for ten years, who had no business being either. Not to mention some of the bad offensive lines.

Agreed. You can't compare.
They both have things that they are great at and things that destroy a team.

And that's just the way it is. Some things will never change.

I could see it. Based on what I see? Its almost like he's trying too hard to be careful. Yet, he throws into coverage. But then like in the 4th quarter with a sense of urgency all of a sudden he looks different and more comfortable. Almost like he has nothing to lose.

Romo played with a lot less talent. He never had a defense like this.

I think this season will define dak and his career. He has it all this year. If he can’t get it done this season, you can expect the same the rest of his career.

Thats garbage. They have both been surrounded by similar talent. This defense is one of the best, but it still suffers from a bad run D.

Cowboys are 10-3 right now so thats pretty good.

Romo had worse coaching overall in his career as MM is much better than that loser Garrett. But its not like MM is some great coach. He is just a REAL coach where Garrett was a complete fraud.

I have been Dak’s biggest fan. I thought the leaky offensive line was the reason for Dak’s inconsistency. Previously, it had seemed to me that if Dak had time, he threw strikes. Today was bad. Real bad. Why was Dak so bad today? He was outplayed by two nobody quarterbacks on a 1-11 team. My confidence in Dak has taken a serious hit. I’d rather had Romo.
