Is Prescott another Romo?

I have been Dak’s biggest fan. I thought the leaky offensive line was the reason for Dak’s inconsistency. Previously, it had seemed to me that if Dak had time, he threw strikes. Today was bad. Real bad. Why was Dak so bad today? He was outplayed by two nobody quarterbacks on a 1-11 team. My confidence in Dak has taken a serious hit. I’d rather had Romo.
How did they outplay Dak?

Anybody that knows football, knows Romo was far superior than Eli

Romo is rarely talked about except by Cowboys fans. Most of the times when people talk Romo, they mention how he was divisive, a choker, and his streak of 1-5, 8-8, 8-8, and 8-8 kinda sticks out like a sore thumb.

Not saying Eli is elite, but Romo literally watched from his couch while Eli hoisted up 2 Super Bowl titles. lol.

The way Romo gets dragged here in light of Dak’s often abysmal play is legitimately embarrassing. So much revisionist history. Romo carried teams with half the skill position talent Dak has and never had a defense remotely this good. Just embarrassing.

What teams did Romo carry? He had Jason Witten, Martellus Bennett, Demarco Murray, Felix Jones (averaging 6+ a yard his first two years), Terrell Owens, prime Dez Bryant, Miles Austin... had the prime Dallas O line with travis frederick, Tyron Smith and Zack Martin. If we're going to say he had some bad defenses, I can agree with that, but then again we can say the same thing about Dak like when we had that defense with Mike Nolan.

No one has made Romo out to be Brady. Romo played on a historically atrocious Dallas defense team and kept a team above water that could hardly swim sometimes. A team that on defense gave up 330 yards passing to a single receiver — CJ.

Plus he had Garrett coaching him as both OC and HC for ten years, who had no business being either. Not to mention some of the bad offensive lines.
Well who in the hell was coaching Dak? Was Jason Garrett no coaching Dak as well? Romo had a few years with bad offensive lines. He did not have a career of them. He had a few eras of good offensive lines the Leonard Davis, Columbo, etc. era and the Tyron Smith, Zack Martin era that admittedly wasn't as long as we hoped it would be.

I don't think Dak is as bad as some people make him out to be but I still don't see him as someone who could elevate people around him. Romo had better arm talent and he's more elusive when the OL broke down. I really wanted to see Romo behind that OL at its peak with Smith, Frederick, Martin leading that OL...

Romo is the best Cowboys QB I’ve ever seen live. He retired when he was the active league leader in fourth quarter passer rating and fourth quarter comebacks. If you think Romo is the reason the Cowboys never advanced past the divisional round, you’re football stupid.

You can throw a pick and still have a high QB rating. For instance if you are 6/7 for 100 yards with 1 TD and 1 Interception? That's a 118 QB rating.
The facts of his 4th quarter performances and comebacks outweigh your media generated perception-you ate the cheese that they fed you.

Stats wise he was. When the playoffs came around...say what you want about Eli but he was the superior player. He played above his head in those SB runs. And people inaccurately claim his defense is why he got there....those defenses weren't nearly as good as people claim they were after the fact.

Revionist history is somehow thinking Romo is some goat, despite the fact that everyone besides Cowboys fans easily take Eli over Romo. But according to Cowboys fans the guy with 2 Super Bowls suck, and the guy with 2 playoff wins is elite.

EXACTLY.

I think Romo was the much more talented player, but Dak it seems has won more and come up with less gaffes in big spots.

If I had to pick one I’d go Romo

As of late Dak has been an INT machine. I’ve never seen him throw this many INT’s. The one late in the fourth quarter was very troubling. It got to the point where I was expecting him to throw a pick on the Cowboys final drive. Fortunately he didn’t! He’s got to clean up the INT’s. He has a high INT percentage for the amount of throws he makes. Prior to this season he had games where he had 40 plus attempts with no INT’s. It seems like every week he’s throwing a couple of picks.

I dont see any uh oh factor at all. Romo had it. Even those two picks today were flukes. One was tipped and the other his arm got hit.

If anything you knew he was going to drive them down and win the game.
No you didn’t.

Call it what you want. I've watched every single Cowboys game for the past 25 years and Romo threw a few costly interceptions in the 4th quarter of games. That's just a fact. I'm not saying he has the most. I'm not saying the least. I'm saying Dak throws his picks earlier in games and Romo when he threw them would be closer to the end.
