As soon as team accomplishments get considered then any argument for or against become invalid. Besides, I give the Pro Football Hall of Fame just about as much creedence as the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Cowboys Zone tells me he’s a top 5 quarterback along the likes of SUPERBOWL winners like Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Ben, and Manning.

Will the all time great Romo be in the hall of fame?

Or is he just Andy Dalton 2.0 a career loser?
Will he? No. Should he? Probably not. But he's certainly better than some of the guys in there, so he wouldn't embarrass the Hall.

He wasn't league MVP. His teams didn't go to the SB. He didn't play long enough to reach numerical milestones. He played with Manning, Brady, Brees and Rodgers, so it wasn't a QB-starved era. So no, he really has no chance of getting in.
After that, it's pretty much a toss up between Romo, Rivers, and Roethlisberger (all of whom I think are better players than Brees, personally), but I don't see how one can get in without the others getting in.
Rivers and Roethlisberger each has over 54000 passing yards (top 10 career). Romo retired with 34000 passing yards. Their HOF resumes aren't really comparable.

His numbers are pretty great but in this era of offense and stat inflation you need a ring. So no he is not a HoF QB.

Just because I think this is an interesting discussion...

Brady, Peyton, Rodgers, Brees are all locks.

Ben is a lock. Rivers and Romo shouldn't get in

If he would have had a longer career OR won a Super Bowl I think he was a no brainer...

Right now he is stuck in the grey zone of "really good" but not "great/legendary"

Romo is in the "Really Good Hall of Fame"

Big Ben's going in. I've heard a lot of talk recently about Rivers being a HOFer on TV. He's in the same class as Romo with a little more post season success. But he still has a chance to add to it.

I don't think Tony is a HOF QB. Very Very Good though. But I have also noticed that some very good players that are also part of the media, seem to get in now. This might be the tie breaker for Tony and he could get in.

I am as big a fan as anybody but because of his short career, I don't think he makes it. If he could have stayed healthy and played 2015-through this year, lets say., I think he would have had a good chance without a SB.

In the off season this would be a 120 page thread lol...

IMO, no. ROH, yes. One of the best Cowboys ever, yes. Favorite Cowboy, one of them for sure. But , HOF. Not right now. If they start lowering the standards to guys like Eli, or Ben, yea he's close...

If Rivers is a HOF, then Romo is.

And yes, I have heard people staying Rivers is one - which is odd, because he and Romo had very very similar careers.

He was top 5 amongst his peers consistently. His career mirrors Dan Fouts in terms of success and Fouts is in. His blossoming career as a broadcaster may be enough to boost him in. Great player on bad teams.

They already have guys like Eli and Ben in the HOF...

Also, seems like Rivers is also getting a push to be one. So, I see no reason why Romo can’t get in.

He will be in the Ring of Honor.

Nothing more.

Passing yards mean nothing for the Hall these days unless you are Drew Brees LOL
