Is Scarface the best rapper ever?

Nas...the year he made Illmatic...that's the best rapper ever. And illmatic is hands down the BEST hip hop album ever made. Closely followed by Mobb Deep's The Infamous. In my opinion.

This. Nas IMO is the best ever.

As for the OP, I like Face. I think he's a top 10 of all time but not the best ever.

Nope. 2Pac is the greatest.

You really need to learn some history.

Biggie > Tupac
A Tribe Called Quest > Tupac
EPMD > Tupac
The Pharcyde (Oakland) > Tupac
Deltron (Oakland) > Tupac
Living Legends (oakland) > Tupac
Poor Rightous Teachers > Tupac
Eric B. and Rakim > Tupac

Nas
Wutang
Mobb Deep

...all better than Tupac.

I like my rap to be S.U.C but scarface is good.....old lil keke and fat pat freestyles cant be beat IMO

It's all matter of opinion, but there's no way in hell there is 10 rappers better than 2Pac

I like 2pac but he's the most overrated rapper ever!!!

It's like asking..
Are the LA Sparks the best WNBA team,
Is Herpes the best disease to catch,
Is Sales Tax the best tax to pay,
Is O'doul's the best non-alcoholic beer,
etc.

JK, I think I would still say DrDre just because he started/influenced the careers of so many of the others that would typically appear on a top ten list.

Or the Beastie Boys.

Biggie is not better than Tupac.
Tribe as a group...better...Phife or Q-Tip alone...not better.
EPMD...certainly not better even as a group and I think Sermon is pretty solid.

Wait...Rapper is a singular word. Groups shouldn't even be included. That's most of your list.

I will agree that Rakim and Nas are better however.

But aside from perhaps Kool Moe Dee and KRS-One...that's about it better than Tupac.

Fair enough.

Phife> tupac
Malik b (the roots) > tupac
Guru > tupac
Prince Paul > tupac

Tupac was good, but like the Dallas don said.. overrated.

By the way...I'm impressed with your hip hop knowledge : D

Appreciate the recognition.

I see where you are going here and slightly more underground...that's cool.

Prince Paul is nice with his, that's for sure...I just think Pac brought more to the table with some of his content about his family and friends. Pac is overrated, but still one of the best ever. I wouldn't put him over the ones' I pointed out previously...but give the man his due.

Guru has a solid flow, but I never found a song that I just wanted to bump...just because...you know what I mean ?

Malik ...ehh... I can take him or leave him. To me he is all over the place. Sometimes it works others...I am just not feeling it ( I think part of that is production however).

You think Phife was better than Tip ? I don't know man. I have to go to this point. I saw them live at a place called "The Warehouse" back in...must have been '95. Tip ripped it. Phife seemed more like the hype man.

Yes..I like phife more than tip. I like both. Have you seen the Tribe documentary?
