Is Sheldon Richardson worth a 2nd round pick?

And he was suspended a game for that. Never suspended for illegal substances. He is plenty of tests away from a year long suspension.

I believe he was on suspension when that happened. He may be on strike one, but that's at least two incidents he had. Even if he's one strike away from a 4-game suspension I don't want to spend valuable draft picks or cap space on character risk guys.

If Richardson signed an extension, of course he's worth a second round pick, especially our second rounder.

No. He is a one year rental and a FA in 2018. Players in that scenario have much lower trade values then expected. Max I would give up is a 4th. If I want him that bad, I just sign him in 2018.

Would be a big boost to the DL. But im not giving up a premium pick for a 1 year rental

Just some off-season talk. This was mentioned today:

"According to ESPN's Rich Cimini, teams are only willing to trade a third-round pick for Jets RE Sheldon Richardson.

Cimini fully expects the Jets to shop Richardson this offseason. He cites the team's "surplus of defensive linemen" and Richardson's immaturity as reasons for trading him. Moving Richardson would also free up $8.1 million in cap space. The Jets were hoping to get a first-rounder for Richardson leading up to the trade deadline but nobody took the bait. If the Jets are serious about moving him, they'll need to lower their asking price."

If that's the case is it worth it to toss a 2nd to the Jets for him? I don't much about him or his contract.
Trade Romo for him

He's been arrested multiple times. He's also been suspended for drugs. One of the times he was arrested he was driving at speeds over 100 mph with loaded weapons and a minor in the vehicle. No thanks

Romo is not tradable. But Richardson is worth a look for a 3rd. Nothing more.
The point was others were offering a 3, safe to assume those are higher than ours. That's why I was wondering if a late 2 was worth it. Seems most have this question answered based on character and him being a 1 year rental.
