Is Terrance Williams still on the team?

Last five games:

5 catches, 75 yards, 0 TD

Having him as a threat opposite Bryant early in the season was a big factor in our six-game winning streak, but he has fallen off the grid since then.

I think he is a deep threat guy and team does not go deep. I also think Romo does not trust him after his lack of effort last game against Philly.

It's not too bad. Romo had 20 completions. 9 to Murray and 8 to Dez. 1 to Witten. 2 to Cole. No more room.

Romo's not doing the 40 of 60 passing anymore.

I don't know if the problem is Williams play or the fact the Romo, the OC, or JG, etc aren't going to him.

IMHO, they need to get him going a bit as they head into the playoffs. If teams don't feel threatened at all by Williams are just going to redirect their defensive emphasis even more to Dez and Murray.

After the game Romo was with the NFLN crew and said Williams is a good player but just isn't getting the looks right now. It was when he was asked about Cole Beasley finally getting more opportunities and was something to the effect of:

"We've got a lot of weapons, not everyone is going to get looks all the time. Like Terrance Williams who is a really good player and just isn't getting the opportunities..."

Williams is still valuable, and I think teams are probably just paying more attention to him now, to be honest. The thing I like about him is that he continues to play hard - downfield blocking and the like - despite not getting the touches.

Future I do agree he is a hell of a blocker in run game.

I have that feeling as well, perry. The Romo post game interview with NFL Network was posted in another thread:

http://www.dallascowboys.com/video/2014/12/05/tony-romo-joins-thursday-night-football-postgame-show

At the 7:00 mark, Romo mentions Williams. It appears that there are options before he gets to Williams i.e., Dez and Witten. In fact, on the deep ball to Dez, TV replay showed Williams open . . . even Nantz mentioned that Romo had his choice which receiver to pick. He went deep. I have no problem with that.

Edit: Ah, Future beat me to it!

Total disappearing act. They need a competent second wide receiver, or find a way to utilize Escobar more.

TWill was wide open coming across the middle for about a15 yd gain..........but Romo went to Dez for the 40 leaping catch---just the way the game goes.

I think this is the answer right here!
Not enough balls to go around...
My money says before the year is out Williams will have a big game that seals a win.

Were saving him for Philly...lol. After Romo took that hit from Washington, he hasn't thrown the ball deep as much. Maybe he doesn't feel he can control those throws as much right now. Williams was the recipient of most of those throws. Look at Williams stats before and after Romo got the broken bones injury, that's pretty telling right there. 10 days to cure and rest up, I also predict a big game for Williams against the Egirls.

Play action bomb to Williams on the first drive in Philly. Complete or not, let them know he is on the field.

Invasion of the Body(catch) Snatchers.

That should have gotten more likes the first time I posted.

Michael Irvin made a pregame comment. About the cold weather, said Dez is a hands catcher, and may be a factor, so he may need to body catch. Irvin said he himself was a body catcher, so colder weather he was ok.

So if body catching is good enough for Irvin, then it's good enough for Williams, then it's good enough with me.

Romo made a post game comment, that they have a lot of very good receivers. Just that Beasley been getting more chances lately, and Williams is very good, but hasn't had the same opportunities lately.

I still think a broken finger may come into play there.

He is fine. It's actually Romo I am worried about these past few games except the Giants one.

Williams is open but Romo often chooses to go else where most of the time. In fact that most of the time is check downs which bothers me as it won't get it done with good tackling teams.

Watch the Chicago game. WRs open including Williams and Bryant often but Romo is playing very conservative or still hurt. Holding the ball too long and then just dump off pass to RB. Romo is not himself.
