Panthers probably win by 14.
Corrected.
Panthers probably win by 14.
Yeah, that's all they did. Oh, and go 16-1 in all their other games this year.
But take away those 17 wins and they suck.
the line has nothing to do with it. Its actually 5.5 too elsewhere
What did the line say about the Pats/Broncos game? it lied,All lines are just lies.
the line is made to tell you what they already think you think will happen.
The public saw Panthers score lots of points so they assume that means Panthers are better team. Thats where the line comes from.
it means nothing
The patriots went undefeated and lost to the Giants.
You can make an argument for either team.
Broncos were supposed to be in trouble against the Pats too.
Brady was supposed to make them pay.
I think Manning is in BIG trouble.
I think this is likely Manning last season in the league and while I would love to see him go out on top I think Panthers defense and offense will be too much for Denver. Broncos have a very good defense but I think Cam presents a problem in his running and passing ability. Not often do you run into a QB who is 6'05" 250 and runs like a RB yet has shown through out the season the ability to work from the pocket and read defense to attack in passing game. On the other side Panthers defense have been bringing heat and causing turnovers and Manning will be a sitting duck.

If you're going to claim "everyone knows Denver is winning" like you did above, then the line is a big indicator of the veracity - or complete lack thereof -the line has nothing to do with it.

of that statement.
The lines represent public sentiment. You are trying to state "everyone knows" Denver is going to win, but the facts do not support that thesis.I already told you lines are lies. The favorite has only won twice in the last 10 years
The line doesn't mean 'nothing,' but that wasn't the point. You said everyone knows DEN is winning, and I pointed out that oddsmakers disagree with what you believe everyone knows.
the oddsmakers want you to believe what they say. They arent disagreeing with anything

And while you're entitled to you own opinion, you're not entitled to your own facts. 5 of the past 10 Super Bowl favorites won the game (I'm calling NE a favorite in SB 49 although that line slipped to pick 'em in some places).
They set the line where the money is going. It's an obvious measure of expectations.
they set the line where they want the money to go. They dont react, they lead.
they already know theyll move the line, they arent surprised by anything.
you dont need to know **** about football to make money being a bookie. You can just make up a number, move it and people will buy into it.
