Wouldn't surprise me if he only had 2 seasons left in him. I figured he had maybe 3, so two isn't far off depending on how the back holds up. I just hope when the time comes, that he retires a Cowboy instead of fizzling out somewhere else.

And this will be a sad day for most Cowboys fans that well remember the turnstile at the QB position between Aikman and Romo

I see nothing wrong here. It's perfectly logical questions and thoughts based off his injures, his age, etc. I see no reason why someone is a bad person for having concerns or thoughts that it's close over for Romo.

I'm worried about his back. Until I can see him playing well in live games i'm going to be concerned about his back and even then I still will be every single time he takes a hit.

You are not some foolish poster. You are a smart individual.

Removing a Wart from a knee and removing a CYST from the back is two different things.

Furthermore I doubt if romo had a wart removed from his leg he would have had a projected recovery time of a month.

People who have had back issues know they normally don't just go away, normally they stick around and get worse...unlike a wart.

I had a college roommate that had to have a cyst removed from his back. He did have to take a semester off from school.

But, it did go away and it wasn't a problem for him ever since (we are still close friends).

IIRC, a cyst is basically dried up blood in the body that they want to remove so it doesn't possibly turn cancerous.

That's why I thought the cyst would be a problem for Romo in 2013...my friend had to miss a semester of college for that. But afterward it never gave him any issues and he and I played on the golf team where the back is most frequently used.

By now, the cyst removal will have no impact on Romo's health for the future. Because like a wart, once it is removed and recovered from...it's not a problem.

Those who can't see he's in the final twilight of his career are in denial.

His time could certainly be limited. Don't get mad at a guy who makes a prediction about someone's health. I have more a problem with what he thinks about the Browns QB. Why is it that we are the ones that get singled out for passing on JF? A lot of other teams passed on him. How is he so sure that JF is going to be successful in the NFL without watching a game. For all we know, his off the field issues may get him into trouble. He might be a bust.

One thing is for certain, Romo is an igniter for debate here. I don't believe he's finished but am in the wait and see mode. It seems people either think he's elite, average, or absolutely below average here. I'm a Romo fan and don't think he's in the top elite of the elite and most definitely not a bad QB. He's a damn good QB and our potential success relies on his health and of course fielding a good team.

I'm not hoping for the decline of his career? smh.
I'm hoping he peaks out this year so we can finally get a playoff run...

But a 34 year old QB, coming off 2 major back surgeries with only 1 career playoff win in 8 years...I'm just realizing the obvious.
It's totally understandable for people to be concerned about Romo's back. In the best case scenario, it'll always be something he will have to manage. We know the worst case.

But when you threw in the playoff stuff, you did the proverbial dump in the pants.
We can now smell you for what you are.

Why did this piss you off? Just a guy giving an opinion and was not malice or anything.

Really? With the CRAP about in 2016 Manziel will be the starter and Romo won't. and How Jerry will be regretting not drafting him. THAT IS COMPLETE speculative BS!!! If we did Draft Johnny he'd be on there saying how dumb jerry is for drafting a trouble making, rock star like Johnny.

I also hate the fact that everything I read from him or see from him on the Cowboys is negative.

Idk, I guess I hold the media to a higher standard to actually put out information NOT speculation and opinion!

I remember when Peyton Manning's career was over.
And he's had four ACTUAL neck surgery's! Miss an ENTIRE year of play! and is what 39? Freaking joke!

I think what pisses me off most is that he said this crap about Romo being done by 2016 but what happens when he's wrong? NOTHING! Coward.

Which is why a lot of people have been screaming for us to a dress the QB position before we get to that point.

With the Oline we have I could see 4 at least, that would be 38. These Days thats not that old.

I love how they bring up Aikman and injuries, he retired in 2000/ 2001, 13 years of medical advancement, player protection and Rule changes have extended careers. Why don't they bring up Booby Miles torn ACL and how it ended his career in high school when talking about AP? Because of medical advancement! Tommy Johns surgery was a career ender 10-15 years ago, now its nothing!
