And that market is driven by agents that are astute in driving it up. Prescott is about to reset the market just as tagging Cousins did and what really feeds that is that they're dealing with the most ego driven position in all team sports, they do keep score. If the owners want to know how they got here, just look at the aftermath of tagging Cousins, they never should have tagged a QB.
The GMs and owners of BAL, HOU, KC, NYJ, BUF, AZ, CLE and several others are viewing this DAL/Prescott deal with a certain amount of dread as they realize the effect this is going to have. Think any of those QB's don't think they're better than Prescott? Think any of them are willing to take less than a 4th round pick when they're all 1st rounders and several Heisman's?
The difference in those teams and the Cowboys is that they can make the hard decisions on other players and not have a top paid DE, WR, RB and the highest OL salary on the same team as that QB.
