Is there any question Dallas needs to keep Gallup?

Does he deserve a big contract with Dallas. Yes. Would it be in the team’s best interest to keep him? Without a doubt. Will we be able to keep him? Unfortunately I see no way we can afford him.
There's the real deal right there. We'll have to find another way.

we are going to get picked clean in March.

we have too many UFAs that other teams want.

I think that's an overstatement. There are only a few prime FAs. LVE is one but does anyone want him back? He's clearly lost something. Gallup is a big one. As is Gregory. Schultz? I like him but I am also not crazy about giving him a big contract.

The rest are guys one year deals for low money. Whose to say we can't repeat that in 2022?

This draft will have talent at WR early and often. Can possibly get a good one late first(if BPA) or in day 2. Some growing pains to be expected but with a healthy Cooper and Lamb I think this team will survive lol.

Cowboys can keep Gallup and Cooper. It's not hard to fit both under the cap for 2022. It'll just be a lot of guaranteed money at that spot with Lamb entering year 3 next year of his rookie contract.

Gallup said it wasn't all about money for him. He talked about it a year ago I believe when asked about staying in Dallas. I think Gallup will take a hometown discount to stay where he's comfortable at.

Cutting Cooper to make room for Gallup is a mistake unless the cost savings is massive. But remember, Cooper's contract was pretty team friendly from a restructure perspective. They could restructure his remaining contract and get it more in line with what Gallup will likely get.
No, the Cowboys did not restructure Cooper's contract. There was no restructure pertaining to Cooper's contract in 2021. This leaves the door open for the Cowboys to save $16 million if Amari Cooper is cut before the 5th day of the 2022 NFL league year (it begins on March 15, 2022). If on the roster on the 5th day of the 2022 league year, another $20 million becomes fully guaranteed.

Eh, we could find a guy that gives you what Dak does for a lot cheaper. That ship has sailed though and we’re stuck with Dak.

Dallas just has to somehow pay Dak and have a unbelievable OL, RB, 3 WRs,TE, and playcaller.
Not true.. Stop trolling.

Is there any question in your mind that Dallas needs to do their dead level best to keep this guy?

I do not recall any WR for this team, or any other, that plays the edges with such skill.

There has never been as much toe tapping at the Grand Ole Opry.

How needs the cap$$$$

explain how we keep him ac and Lamb...

I get hes great reminds me of a young dez ,

however we have far too much money invested ion offense right now so i cant see him taking discount..

Quit your crapola. Stop trolling.

Not trolling. I was calling to replace Dak for years. I was saying go get Tom Brady when he was available.

Paying Dak 40 million was just stupid and bidding against yourself. Acting like Dak had this market of teams willing to pay him that is silly.

Dallas got ripped off.

People need to stop pretending like Dak is any different than that of 15 other NFL QBs. He’d sink quick in an environment that isn’t optimal.

That is your personal opinion, not based on facts.

Agreed on Dak being overpaid, but he doesn't need everything you stated before in order to be productive. That part is not true and clearly you trolling.

Tom Brady...please. Why not go back to your birth. I am sure you will find someone worthy of playing your kind of qb in the nfl. Gimme a break.

They better start investing in the OL or it won't matter who is running routes.
Cowboys have rookies C/G Matt Farniok and T Josh Ball.

They could use another G and T, but so far, they have been drafting good young talent to invest in the Oline.

It's basically Gallup vs Lawrence, Cooper or Zeke. In order to keep Gallup we will have to part ways with one of the following... Lawrence, Cooper or Zeke. So, you have to ask yourself, which of those guys is Gallup more important than?
I am starting to see that Zeke might need to go.
