Zeke has excellent WR skills.
That's fine. Doesn't mean we don't need another WR...my guy is just a RB playing WR
Zeke has excellent WR skills.
This coaching staff would never figure out how to use a player like this.
My question is in somewhat tempering draft impact. Usually i get hyped for the draft but this year i just don’t feel it knowing that if we get the same play out of the QB as we got this year with Dak’s accuracy problems, nothing else really matters.
Dallas already has best RB in the league. Does a speed WR even help if Dak cant hit them?
As we saw vs Seattle even if the defense holds the teams to 150 yards it doesn’t matter if offense isn’t any better than the Campo version of this offense.

No, you're looking in the wrong area. We need a new Qb's coach. Yes, we're getting one, as Wilson was one of the sacrificial lambs.
Dak needs to be developed. It was in his scouting reports. Thing is, we're notoriously bad about developing players. Here's hoping the new QB's coach is a real QB whisperer and can change that!!!!
Y'all really act like RG3 didn't happen a few years ago. Inaccurate qb's are bad my friend.Dak was good enough for 24 straight games...unless those little aliens from space jam came and took his talent I don’t think any special requirements are needed other than what every other QB should have. I think the rest of the league figured out what our offense was doing and our coaching staff had 0 counter punches to throw back.
Where we need upgrades... receiving TE and a WR with reliable hands. Witten should be the 2nd blocking TE and Twill should have never been resigned. Dez is what it is. He should be cut imo, but I have my doubts it will actually be done.
But to answer the question...a new Head Coach and O Coordinator would be the best thing to do to help Dak. While the personnel isn’t perfect and could be better, I really don’t think that’s the problem.
I think an electric RB in the passing game probably helps Dak the most
Who that is? I don't know

Get back to me in a year. You're just saying what you're saying based off Dak being on this team if he was anywhere else you'd see the connection.Dak was better than RG3 every step of the way so far in his career except for in running the ball. And they aren't even comparable players skill set wise anyway. If Dak wasn't good the 1st 8 weeks I would honestly agree with you that last year was a fluke, but clearly something happened around week 8...which just so happened to coincide with the Zeke suspension. I still blame the coaching staff, the rest of the league just flat out figured out the offense in my opinion.
Do I think Dak is elite top 5 type of QB? Nope. Can he be well above average top 15 that leads the team to perennial competitors? Yes definitely. Every team except like 6 are chasing the elite QB...the rest are either going for a top 5 pick or constructing the rest of their roster to be as strong as possible. The cowboys need to get on the latter option in my opinion. Keep building the D and get some better offensive weapons and see what happens. Is there really another option anyway?
A QB who can throw an accurate ball outside of 10 yards would be the place to start.

Was Dak a game manager the first 8 weeks? Sure. But he missed many throws vs St Louis and Green Bay and was awful vs Denver. He had a great 2nd half vs Arizona and whole game vs Kansas City.
Let’s not act like he was Aaron Rodgers the first 8 weeks. Dak is basically a mobile Trent Dilfer who’s peak is just above Alex Smith and whos floor is Tavaris Jackson.
By then some of talent will have passed their prime. With your QB on a fourth round salary scale and his back up undrafted, there is absolutely no excuse not to invest in an another QB if nothing but for competition. Which is a better problem having two capable starters on the roster or gambling exclusively on the one you have.Yes, speed on offense will help but the OP is correct. The limitations of the QB will not maximize the talent of the overall offense. Half the time he doesn't see it and the other half he simply won't attempt the throw for fear of a turnover.
But look at it this way. You remove all excuses for him by upgrading the talent and you provide a good supporting cast for his successor if (when) he fails.
What did RGlll numbers look like his first 24 games, he was the second coming after his first season.https://i.*******/f1kmthtaskwz.jpg
That’s through the 1st 24 games of their careers.
sorry but that doesn’t happen by fluke or accident...and no, I’m not comparing Dak to any of those guys in anyway either. It’s just amazing how an 8 game stretch somehow is the end all be all that Dak is bad when there’s a 24 game sample size that says much different.
Lol. He maybe a Browns or Bronco.Saquon Barkley .
Or a dominant offensive linemen
Most of Brice Butler's catches were on deep throws. His catch rate was 65%.My question is in somewhat tempering draft impact.
