Is there something wrong with us?

Now that the team has reached a new low for many of us, by complaining about the refs after a playoff loss, when they simply should have been more disciplined (half the penalties were pre-snap). And of course they just needed to play better too, every single one of them (except for maybe the Special Teams which had a good day)... Anyway, now that the Cowboys as an organization is sinking lower in many of our eyes, it's time to ask, why are we still fans???

Many (or, most) of us:

*hate the longtime owner
*don't want the QB (and some downright dislike the QB)
*hate the culture
*don't trust most of the coordinators
*dislike Jerry's World (the stadium)
*don't even like many of the players (thank goodness for Micah, as he's a unanimous favorite, but no one else is)
*AND most of us don't live anywhere near Dallas

....yet, we're still fans of this team??? Why do we bleed blue and grey???? For nostalgia???? Do we just adore The Star but almost nothing else about the present Cowboys?

Honestly, have we lost our minds, to put ourselves through this frustration year after year, for an owner, organization and team we don't even like???

I'm starting to think we're all just mentally ill.

It’s a mental disorder. I wish we did not have it. I wish we could just walk away and never think about it again. As much as we want to walk away we can’t. We are fanatics. There is nothing rational about it.

My brother walked away last year do to the dishonest Wokeness in the NFL. He was a fanatic too.

Maybe, the dishonest Wokeness will finally push me away. I actually hope so!!

Most of us are fans of this team for three reasons:

1. You're local, and pull for the home team.
2. You latched onto this team at a time when they were great and it was a phenomenal fan experience, and you long for those days again.
3. You're like me, and was raised by a fan.

I'm going to take a step back though, enjoy life more, suffer less when a goofy team with a Star on their helmet habitually loses, and laugh at the trainwreck instead of be upset. I'm actually thrilled on the inside that I have my weekends back to get things done and be a better husband.

I became a Cowboys fan in 1964 when I was six years old and my dad took me to a Cowboys game in the Cotton Bowl. Been a fan 58 years. The glorious experience of my childhood is the only thing that has kept me a Cowboys fan. We have a complete fool running this circus with his earned nothing children on board as sycophants.

I can’t believe that I actually let myself have hope this year. But it’s no coincidence that this team loses in the playoffs consistently regardless of who’s coaching or playing QB, or calling plays or coordinating the defense…the same fool is still doing things “his way” and can’t understand why it doesn’t work.

And Carrot, I think we should all seriously consider either rooting for a new team and organization that we actually LIKE, or just take a break and wait for JJ to die.

We owe it to ourselves, and our families. Let's get our Sundays back!

Old habits die hard. I really don't like a single thing about this organization but I'll watch the games until the day I die. For what reason, I am not sure.

I will say I've gotten to the point with the Cowboys that the losses don't bother me like they used to. I've come to the realization that there is no reason to expect this team to succeed and have made a concerted effort to not let this team affect me outside of the couple hours I spend watching the games each week.

Loyalty.

Why do you think you see these millenials team hopping nowadays? They lack loyalty.

I'll remain a fan, thank you very much!!!!

Loyalty to what, ksk? To whom are you loyal to? Or is it the just The Star? The colors? The jerseys?

In my entire life I am not one to use the word hate likely , it’s generally been reserved for very few since it’s a toxic mind set. That being said.
I hate Jerry
I hate coaches
I hate the entire team
I hate myself for being a fan

I honestly think I am almost done after 40+ years

special teams negated a long run back by Pollard in crucial moment . It ended up costing 30 yards of field position. Special teams sucks too

I think we should start asking why, Bleed. Not being sure why you're rooting for an owner and team and organization you genuinely dislike sounds, well, it sounds absolutely crazy, when you really think about it.

We should all start to really think about it.

Blind loyalty to, The Star???? We sound delirious. LOL

Oh, you're right. They all stunk it up. Everyone needed to play better, every unit...every coach and coordinator.

I was aware of the dysfunction for awhile but now my eyes are wide open. Jerry and Co do not care about anything other than $$$, so they will no longer get any of mine. They don’t let coaches do their job without input from up top.

I will still watch but my weekends will no longer revolve around what time Dallas plays. If I’m home, I’ll tune in

If KM becomes the next HC……I am done following them.

Yep, it's time, Mk2. It's time we all look in the mirror and just be done. This is grown to be quite silly. It would be one thing if we actually cared about the owner, the players, the coaches...but most of us don't. We complain about ALL of them, in some way or another. So, we just love The Star and its colors.

I think it’s worse than that. I think he does get he’s part of the problem but refuses to get out of the way.

He has to. He even admitted he’d of fired a GM with his record this era.

He’s the Captain of the Titanic and willing to take ship down with him cause he knows the life preserves will be waiting for him at the ticket booths and cash registers to fund him all over again. And who could blame if everyone still had their hand out.

It’s like I’ve been saying for years. Who are the bigger fools. Fool me once shame on you . Fool me twice and again and again, shame on me .

Im all for supporting a dormant school or franchise as long as they are doing everything within their power to win. This frikin egomaniac isn’t . And all on our dime. He’ll squirm his way around this again after a nice vacation on his super yacht. Rinse and repeat. Yeeeehawwwww Cowboy fans .
