Is This How Eagles Fans Felt Last Year?

Patrick Crayton said the team became complacent. The more success the 2007 team had the more smug they became. After beating the 10-1 Packers, they struggled against a bad Detroit team the following week, barely eeking out a win in the final seconds. The team ended up losing the following week to Philly at home. You could see the team leaking oil right before our eyes. We ended up being embarrassed by Washington in the season finale. By the time the playoffs started the Cowboys were done!
You know I forgot we were 12-1 that year. I do remember being pissed that we lost to a crap Eagles team late in the season, but I also forgot about that Washington game. Maybe because the starters didn't play all game? I don't remember. But Dallas wouldn't have needed that game. But yeah, in hindsight, they started to unravel.

Doesn't matter how stacked you are if your QB throws it to the other team on the regular and can't make up the points to offset.

Agree on both but if Hargrave is such a huge positive for SF he has to be a negative for Philly, no? Carter looks like a star (and Smith looks like a player also) but we have to see him being as good as Hargrave before we know there won’t be a drop off and Philly lost a ton of guys that other teams feel are starters not just Hargrave. While all may not have been expected starters for Philly it certainly impacts their depth if nothing else. Purdy has to prove he is a good NFL QB For more than half a season, similar to Hurts but of course Hurts has done it for longer and is thus is much more likely to repeat
I have no issues with any of this. Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith could be complete busts. The only guy Philly should have kept in FA was signed for 3 years, 18 million. Surely they could have afforded that or do the really REALLY not care about LBers. The S they lost had a great season but I don't really worry about the rest who left. Time will tell.

We played our starters a half against Washington, and they played like crap. Washington needed the game but we didn’t and we allowed them to walk all over us. It was embarrassing!

No team becomes “complacent”. That’s just a BS platitude like lack of team chemistry or lack of leadership. The team was overrated, especially on defense and their overrated pass protection offensive line, and eventually got figured out and couldn’t compensate for their lack of depth and injuries, especially to TO and at CB.
Exactly.
Houdini at QB and a battering ram at RB made that O-line look much better than they were.

Jacques Reeves giving away TD's and a middling complementary receiver dropping balls in the playoffs.

By the end of the season that team was an accident waiting to happen.

Have you ever gone out, and got wasted beyond recognition? Maybe so much so you woke up with your pants soiled and a little vomit drool.

I imagine that's what eagle fans feel like.

Disgusting.
