Is this proof the running back position is ascending?

Yeah it's ascending so much that we still have the great "zeke" on the roster, he's a slow as a turtle, but damn we should run our offense through him!!!! Keep eating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn’t be surprised if you have to go inside the top 10 to get him. Just a couple years ago Bijan went 8th, Gibbs 12th. I don’t think teams fear drafting RBs high.
I agree.....especially if he tests well. He's only 341 yards from breaking Barry Sanders's record....

Picking Jeanty would be a string solution to many of our current and future problems.

For at least his first contract, if he doesn't do anything stupid ala Elliott, he would take the pressure off the starting QB, help the transition of the OL while we get rid of older players, and open up the downfield offence for a ragtag bunch of WRs until we can stock up more talent there.

Explosive players threaten. We need explosive players to open up the field for our offence.

This is my guy .........I know some disagree but I'm pulling the trigger if we re drafting anywhere outside 10

I'm fine with any player being drafted, acquired, paid relative to their talents. Having said that, I don't think RB is a position we should target until mid or later rounds.

Questions that need to be asked though relative to this particular player.
1) What level of defenses has he played? Does he go from elite to just another good RB in the SEC?
2) What can he do outside running the ball? (pass pro, receiving)
3) Is this record setting season a detriment to his NFL career?

I haven't watched the guy. Only seen highlite packages and took a quick peak at his stats. So, I have no vested interest for or against the guy. I would ask these questions about any player.

The league is adjusting to a false narrative they created to slow the rising pay scale RBs were receiving. Now the league correcting and can't ignore the importance of the RB. Dallas was the last to get the memo, and are looking stupid holding that old narrative after creating the RB pay surge by paying Zeke to get more than Gurley.

Jeanty is better than Bijan, so I don't see him getting out of the Top 10, but if I'm Dallas I'm drafting a DT in 1st.

Good play, and I would not be upset if the Cowboys draft him in the first round, but this draft will have a bunch of good RBs. The Cowboys should be able to find a good one in round 3. There will also be some DTs in this draft and I would focus on that DL, especially if they do not re-sign Osa and Golston.

Or get a game changing RB in round 1.

Is the midget that much better than Gordon? Enough to pick him top 10 instead of the 2nd round for Gordon? Just going by the highlights, I like Gordon more.

Not directed at you, but I chuckle a little when I think how the majority waxed on & on about Bijan being the greatest prospect since AP, etc. and I think we'd all agree he hasn't been that level of difference maker.

Maybe Jeanty is & will be .... but I will be skeptical just because we've seen the hype train outrun reality many times.
