Is this the best WR trio in Cowboys history: Cooper, Cobb, Gallup?

Better than Galloway, Glenn, Bryant? TO, Glenn, Crayton? Irvin, Harper, KMart?
I think the potential is there, but at least to some degree, luck will play into it. Sure is going to be awesome finding out! Keep keying on Zeke boys! I DARE YA!

Butch Johnson.....there was also Preston Pearson and Golden Richards in those years. Pearson was a third down specialist who caught passes out of the backfield. Billy Joe DuPree was the tight end. Not a bad one in the bunch.
Ya, I was wanting to interject that other Pearson #26 fellow, but that Cat was a running back who the #12 immortalised forever more into that deep ball threat status,,,er,,, & also ,it's an utterly complete wasted effort in responding to that poster whose posing the question to begin with.
( as time & time again, has proven to me,since that last& final time)

It would be interesting to see the total yards of the top 3 wr ranked. I would think Irvin, Harper, and *insert name* in 1994 would stand out as they were a run team first. Others that I think stand out...
Miles Austin, Dez Bryant, and Roy Williams (& Patrick Crayton and we let Danny Amendola walk)
Dez Bryant, Laurent Robinson, and Miles Austin
Terrell Owens, Terry Glenn, Patrick Clayton

Is Jimmy Smith the best WR we let walk?

No

You forgot Pearson, Hill and Johnson/ Richards
And Hayes, Allworth and Rentzel
I met Lance Rentzel on the job when I was an airline ticket agent. He was SHOCKED I knew who he was and I know it made him feel good. He never said anything I simply recognized the name on the ticket. I asked for his autograph for my sons.

No, but the best trio, collectively, since the last Super Bowl. I’ll still take the latter day Romo over the present day Dak, and while Zeke is the most TALENTED RB, I preferred Barber and Murray as people/team mates. Cooper to me is a “B+“ WR compared to young Dez’ “A+“ at the #1, but the current group collectively is superior.

Just an opinion.

Yes Jsmith we didnt let him go outright,

we left his exposed to expansion draft.. I was screaming when they did that, I saw a special plyer that offseason/preseason and knew it was a mistake..who was our Head coach that made that gaff? didnt MI go down that same season or next JS would have carried on the torch had he been here, maybe all those other mistakes for Roy and Galloway would never had happened... it was a bad decsions..top 5 all time worse decsions of this franchise IMO..

In Super Bowl 6, the Dallas Cowboys lined up three Hall of Fame receivers, “Bullet” Bob Hayes, “Bambi” Lance Alworth”, and “Iron” Mike Ditka.

This was the first game of the regular season. Let’s see a little more before we decide if they are the best the Cowboys ever had.

Mike Irvin is one of the best WRs in history. He is underrated by national media because he was not a freak athlete and he was not Jerry Rice but he is top 3 in my opinion.

Why does he stand out to you that much? Honest question. I dont remember the games I saw him in, too young to understand the NFL with any intricacy.

This current trio hasn't proven to be the best in team history.

But they are about to. A big part of that is in the way they put team first.

Now that my guy Cedrick has been called up, is this the best WR quartet in Cowboys history?

First, no it's not too early.

Second, the Cowboys have mostly been a run-first team throughout their history. I never remember a Cowboys team that ran 3 WR sets but maybe someone can correct me. They've also had some great WR1's but only a small handful of good WR2's and WR3's.

So yes, I am going to say definitively that this is the best WR1, WR2 and WR3 combination that this team has ever had. You can even throw in WR4 I you want to include Tavon Austin - imagine a team being so deep that they have the luxury of having a receiver like Austin at WR4?

In my mind the competition here would be Pearson/Hill/Johnson and Irvin/Harper/KMart.

Edit: Someone mentioned Owens/Glenn/Crayton - that's really close too.
