Is this the lowest the fanbase has ever been?

Been reading all the threads here and listening to constant ridicule on the media of Jethro and Team.

There doesn’t seem to be any optimism from anyone.

Even some of the diehard homers on this board have disappeared or changed their tune.

A lot of lifers here, do you consider this the lowest the fanbase has ever felt about the team?

I remember paper bags on head in Landry’s last year and Jimmy’s first year.

Fans were low after the Campo years until a rejuvenation shot of Parcells.

But is this the worst it’s ever been?

The strike season was probably the worst season I went through . Most of this in my opinion is over exaggerated, we just had way too many injuries. Some of them probably are going to hurt the talent forever. Digs ,Prescott. Lawrence. A new coach is a good thing. I see positive these people are crazy.

Kinda reminds you of when Landry was fired hope we have the same results lol
It was different for me back then, because we weren’t playing very well for three or four seasons before Landry was released because Jerry purchased a team. You still had opportunity to be very good this season other than injuries which killed us. People forget we were down to our third string backfield
when you see what really happened and why, you know it not hard to fix. And losing the coach that was a positive.

It's definitely the worst for me. Been a fan since 1970 and live in Eagles country so I have taken a lot of crap over the years from their fans. Only difference is, now, I don't have anything to say to them when they bust my stones. The Five Rings thing is old and when you havent gotten even a sniff in 30 years, ineffective. Now he's gonna hire a coach that not one other team has bothered to interview because he knows him and can control him. No hope to ever compete for the title while Jerry is in charge. Sorry to vent but it is what it is

It’s worse getting there and failing, then not getting their screw the Eagles. That’s what you tell them

Yes it's the lowest I've seen it in over 30 years. It wasn't this bad during the Campo era because we were just a few years removed from those '90s teams. Right now we have 30 years of ineptitude with no end in sight.
We made the playoffs three years in a row, I think that’s pretty darn good. For a young team with an inept coach and owner. Imagine if we didn’t have all those injuries.

I think Jerry running his mouth and making a fool of himself multiple times in the last 12 months has really made people believe he is the problem. Given that he is going nowhere until he has some physical reason why he can't and his replacement (Stephen) might be dumber than him, there doesn't appear to be much light at the end of the tunnel.

Back in the Campo days, I remember there being hope. If the team just did X, Y or Z it would get better. That's true now too but we have no thought that they will actually do X, Y or Z.

Most fans in their 30s (even 20s) are lucid enough to know they’ll never see this team make a SB appearance in their lifetime, let alone win one.

10+ more years of senile Jerry left then Cap Boy takes the reins for another 30. As long as they’re in charge we’re never waking up from that nightmare.

Losing the coach could be a positive if Jerry wouldn't go cheap and hire someone who could inspire the team and get us further along with an elite coaching staff.

Jerry is the only salary cap on coaching the league does not implement one so we could afford the best being the most valuable franchise in sports doesn't pay to go cheap here

It’s all in his court, you’re right , I’m hoping for Dion, I think it would be the best thing that could happen to this team franchise

That also lines up with his statement about the amount of ck he would write

We didn’t need to do anything in free agency, we did like our guys, who knew they were all going to get injured. We were as bad as Detroit.

It's easy to blame all the problems on injuries, but the team sucked before the injuries started piling up.

Explain We didn't need to do anything
We didn’t need any help from free agency, nothing that they had was going to help us. We didn’t have an offensive line we had injuries. Our quarterback was hurt people wanted to tank. Why should we have use free agency
