Ok, is Tiger done? Has he officially turned into David Duval?

He shot an 82 today and was all over the place and not just his drives which is his norm. Can the PGA maintain their rankings with a slumping Woods?

So many questions..........I pull for him because he makes gold bearable to watch on TV aside from the majors.

It was a pretty humbling two days for Tiger, that's for sure. He's in the middle of a swing change, so it's understandable that he's struggling with it. If the past swing changes are any indication (at least on his tee to green game), he'll get that figured out.

But the really shocking thing to me was how lost he was in his short game this week. And why he's even trying to tinker with his swing around the greens, when it has always been a strength of his game, and a thing of artistry at times, is pretty mystifying. In the past, even when he's been playing at his worst, he's always been able to grind along, get up and down, and salvage rounds. But he looked like me around the greens this week. And that isn't pretty.

Agree, his short game was awesome and it has turned really bad for him. I am not a Woods fan by all means but I do think he is good for the game of golf. He used to be a master at putting along with irons in, now, he is lost.

I know he is in the middle of a swing change but I think he has just lost that mental edge. Age catches up to everyone but is that what ails Tiger ATM or has he simply just lost it? Els and Singh lost it as well but they did come back to win a tourney here and there. As it stands now, I am not sure Tiger wins another, especially a major.

Done?

As far as the race for the majors and bettering Jack?

Yeah.

As a competitive golfer who'll win some events, challenge at some majors and still may win one or two?

No, I don't think so.

But his game is a mess right now and it may not be righted this season.

And even if he does get his mind righted this season, his body is breaking down more frequently.

He done. It's like watching a train wreck right now.

I think Woods has been done for a few years now but he's not going to call it a day until he is ready to and that's the way it should be.

Does need to get that tooth fixed though.

Tiger reminds me of an offensive/defensive coord that just has to prove he's smarter than everyone else instead of just sticking with what's working. One problem is he doesn't have 95% of the field beaten when they see he's entered into a tournament and he knows it. Tiger was talking earlier this week that he was hitting numbers with his driver he hadn't hit in 15 years, well Tiger half the field hits those numbers now. Is he done though? who knows

You know jimmy, you hit the nail on the head.

The young guys are simply bigger, stronger and are into physical fitness (somewhat thanks to Tiger) like no other previous generation of golfers.

And yeah, Tiger's length off the drive is probably better than its been in a long time... But his accuracy? Well...

Bigger and stronger means next to nothing in golf. It actually works against you.

Now, physical fitness .... THAT IS KEY!

You need to maintain fitness/stamina so that your mechanics can be as close to mimicking your last good stroke.

Golf swing is all about speed, fluidity. Not muscle at all.

He probably won't get close to jack,

But remember he is so young, There is more time than people think....know....

He is so off right now. It might be best thing.

Sometimes people/teams have to hit rock bottom. Then things get better.

I know that saying he is done is an easy one to go to... I just don't think so.

He is done because his "drive" is done

When I listen to him I don't see the focused guy I saw early in his career

Happens to many athletes with success

I'd love to be done & have close to a billion dollars to my name. :)

Do you want your spouse (at the time) throwing things at you after they catch you cheating which causes you to wreck your vehicle and from that point having your career do a steady nose dive? :D:p;)

Of course...all that money would make it much easier for ME to retire...I think someone of his mindset would rather go broke and keep playing vs being rich and stop playing.
