Is Troy bitter at the cowboys for early retirement? is that why he seems so anti-cowboys in his analysis.

Aside from Emmitt and Michael, all our ex-players seem against us. Troy, Moose, Dikta.

yeah i was thinking the same thing. 10 people are instantly going to shoot this down and say he was being unbias blah blah blah.
Was there a bad fallout btw troy and the boys (jerry) i dont really seem to remember him being bitter.

I agree, he really seems to have nothing positive to say about us when he's doing our games. Even if we make a good play, it's "yeah that was good...but".

I thought it was just me:(

To say Aikman hates the Cowboys is foolish. He won 3 Super Bowls with them, and it's probable he just holds the team to a higher standard. With that kind of background and that much success, why wouldn't he?

I think Troy gets caught up with trying to be impartial during his telecasts and goes overboard at times. If you saw his 30 minute interview at valley ranch a few weeks back you would realize he really likes this team and Tony Romo.

He's probably pissed that the same people who get on here and rant everytime they get a chance are the same people that boo'd him off the field after he helped bring 3 Superbowls to our franchise.

Sorry guys I have heard Troy say many positives about the Cowboys as well as the negatives. It goes with the job he has I don't think he is bitter I think too many around here want him to sound like some homer and that is not what FOX is paying for. In Emmitt Role he can come off as a homer then again he is not working the booth.

I personally think Troy goes too far to be impartial. I don't think there is any agenda etc....Just call the game.

Moose?! Are you kidding me?! He's the biggest homer announcer out there next to Michael!

And I love him for it.

I don't think he is bitter, but you can't discount the argument. People did boo him in his final game -- something which he noted on TV. Personally, I'm still leaning towards that he is bias because he tries too hard not to be. He just isn't that good as an announcer.

oh wheee. we've not discussed troys hatred to the cowboys in what, 10-15 posts?

again, for all you thinking troy hates the cowboys, watch his next cowboys game coverage and simply have a sheet of paper w/GOOD and BAD on it and put a mark under one or the other when he makes a comment, noting that comment.

he compliments the hell out of romo all the time. says romo will get his records before he's done and he doesn't care.

yea, the man just can't breathe for his bitterness.

i think some fans are the bitter ones.

He's only like that when he's on the clock with Fox. You should listen to an interview on the Dallas Cowboys website where he gushes over Romo and the current Cowboys.

:( our city acted like Eagles fans on that day.

And he has made them in the booth as well during games I guess some just tune him out when he is making positive statements but once again his job is not to drool over the Cowboys and turn this into the Cowboy hour he calls the game as he sees it. If the Cowboys screw up or does something that he may question then so be it hell we do it here all the time. You guys hated Theisman because of his homer views but you want Troy to do the same.

That's not true. I never felt an announcer was being bias before this year with Aikman. Him making a theme out of things like the cowboys not looking good in Decemeber really is bad. I mean say it once, and move on.

if i were to guess, i'd say 60+ of what he says about the cowboys is positive. 25% neutral that could be construed as critical and 15% critical.

after all, it only takes 1 negative comment to wipe out the last 10 positive ones. that's why i wish some of the troy bashers would watch the last game on TIVO or something and just count 'em out.

I actually think Troy feels threatened more than he was bitter. I remember in 2005 when Bledsoe was on fire mid season he came across as threatened.

And now he see's a team and QB potentially eclipsing a lot of what his teams did.

Mix that in with a bit of trying not to be a Cowboy homer we have what it is.

That all said I think he comes off just giving his opinions.

Is he right there tho?
