Once the Cowboys lose a game at the end, or close to the end...not a big deal for me. Five minutes later I could not care less, I only wait until the next game. Football is just a past time for me. I have much important things in life.

Really?

22000 plus posts and this is just a past time.

That made me laugh.

I cannot watch any sports show until after Thursday after a Sunday loss. I keep the remote in my hand in case there is a Cowboy replay. I DVR the games and the losses are deleted pretty quickly.

The ten day hiatus after Thanksgiving I cannot watch any sports show if they lose on Turkey day.

However, having said all that, there is one game, and that was the 2007 play-off game against the Giants that I went in thinking they would lose and no matter what happened was waiting for the other shoe to drop.

And one season when we positioned to draft Aikman. I hated the losing but the closer we came to the first over all draft pick the easier it got.

That might be the only games I can remember that I was blase` about.

I said that right after a game win or lose it does not bother me. However, I did not say that I don't come here. I come here to read the trouble makers, whiners and crybabies. You and TwoDeep can chose what category you want to place your self in out of the three.

Dude if you post here regularly you're more than a casual fan so it's kinda hard to believe that you get over a loss in 5 minutes or whatever time you gave. For people that post on these boards we have an emotional attachment to the team and the games are emotional rollercoasters. In the NFL there's only 16 games and each one is crucial so when we lose 1 it could affect your playoffs standing unlike NBA and MLB.

All I'm saying is that I am not the kind of fan that gets all butthurt over a loss or over excited by a win...I don't throw the remote, I don't kick the dog, I don't beat the wife and I don't always blame just one guy for a loss or a win.

Of course I come here, I'm a Cowboy fan, but, as I stated, I have more things in life to worry about than a freaking game.
Some fans come here just to start trouble, some come here to defend the defenseless, and some fans just don't know what the term TEAM means...their tunnel vision is focused on one player.

So, yeah, I come here for my past time just like all you others, that's what we do, but after a win or a loss I don't come here crying, vetching about every thing, or let my emotions over a game go until the following Thursday. I'm done 5 minutes after the game.

And, my high post count is because I joined this forum in the early 2000. I used to post on the old Dallas Morning News forum prior to that.

It used to be a week for me, especially when I was younger and the Cowboys were winning playoff games and Super Bowls. But now it's only Sunday night, Monday morning. Used to be my co-workers would ride me all week about the loss, but now I will get a little ribbing but it does'nt last as long as it used to. But I think a lot of it has to do with not being in the playoffs consistently like the Cowboys used to be, so rival fans arent as vicuious, they are still mean, bit not as vicious.

I am sure when the Cowboys start getting to the playoffs and Super Bowl again my whole week will be determined by wins or losses once again and I for one would welcome that!!

It used to be, especially during the 90s, but not anymore.

I don't watch Sportscenter or NFL Network for a couple of days and I try real hard to not let it eat at me all week. Two years ago leading into the Do or Die game with the Giants I had the feeling that the winner of that game would make a run deep into the playoffs I just hoped it was the good guys. Needless to say after the first half I was out a cellphone screen and a laptop along with saying a lot of unnecessary crap that I regret. This last years Do or Die game I just laughed because after so long why have any hope the outcome will be different? I hope things do change this season and I think "On Paper" we're as good as anybody in the NFC.

There was a time the Cowboys could completely derail my week. That was back when there were very few things I cared more about than the Cowboys. That's changed over the past few years--not because the Cowboys are in a long dry spell but, rather, because I've found something that's even more important to me. I want to succeed at that more than I want to see the Cowboys succeed.
