again…..another zeke myth busted. Cowboys ran the ball 31 times Sunday. Only 2 other times this year have the cowboys run more. 34 and 32 times.

are running game is much much better without zeke. Would you like to see the facts to back that up?
Are you including the 4 runs for Dak. Those were not designed runs. The week before against bears Shultz was lead block on a designed run for a TD. Should have done that on the 3rd down play he threw the endzone pick.

Wouldn't that make our season, we wouldn't even bash Dak anymore.
Who would miss the chance to blame him. I am sure Shultz did something also. Hey.. how many penalties did we have Sunday. 9 for 80+ yards. And Parsons without a sack. What’s his deal.

Who is this teams true leader glimmerman?
I'm answering your question with a question, I know, but it is reality.

Occasionally? Lol

zeke doesn’t burn the clock. The offense stalls more when zeke is featured. Punting doesn’t burn clock.
And Pollard looked like he was running bare foot in the sand on a beach vs GB last week,

I heard Parsons had 40+ plays at LB and played less than 10 at DE. Where they expecting that to stop the run. Leader should be Dak. He didn’t have the best game. But who is making him throw 45 times in a game. Is he changing plays or playing what’s called. At some point with Linehan as OC Romo finally started more or less calling his plays.

Our pass/run ratio per game:

Buccaneers - 70% pass (60 total plays - 18 rush)
Bengals - 53.4% pass (58 total plays - 27 rush)
Giants - 50.8% pass (62 total plays - 30 rush)
Commaders - 48.2% pass (56 total plays - 29 rush)
Rams - 32% pass (50 total plays - 34 rush)
Eagles - 59.4% pass (64 total plays - 26 rush)
Lions - 43.9% pass (37 total plays - 32 rush)
Bears - 48.2% pass (56 total plays - 29 rush)
Packers - 59.7% pass (77 total plays - 31 rush)

We ran 13 more plays Sunday than we did any other game this season. In reality it was our 2nd worse pass happy game of the season. Not blaming the RB's because I don't know the reason. We led almost the entire second half so we honestly should have been running more. If we were at our season average pass/run ratio on Sunday we should have run the ball between 39 and 40 times (39.2). Why we didn't, who knows? But context matters when looking at stats (and pointing to them to "prove" something). The old addage of lies, damned lies, and statistics again.

overtime and penalties in overtime. Penalties negated 3 nice runs and made us pass with long down and distance.
Cowboys are not pass happy. Another myth.

Nope. One fact is that we need to be using both of these RB’s in more screen passes. They both do really nice in the pass game and they don’t fumble. I am not sure if after this year they cut Elliot or redo the contract. I think they want to keep both for another year.

We played this game like it was a win, let Dak sling it around instead of throwing shorter passes and establishing a run game. We can do that with either RB. Our Defense sure played like it was a easy win. And if Dak don’t throw the second pick in the endzone and we get the FG it would have ended up as the kill shot. You protect the lead, that play should have been a toss or pitch to Pollard on the outside or throw to back of endzone (again Pollard on the back of endzone) other wise throw it away or Dak makes a play with his feet. It was a dumb play call at that point in the game. Take the points. If nothing there throw it away. They took the team light and got there … beat.

The team is better with all options on the table. No reason we can’t run a balanced game. When it’s balanced we win. Let Elliot be the hammer and Pollard can change it up and take it to the house. No need to throw 46 times. Your asking for it.
Lol….nope?.

Ah…yep!

facts are stubborn things. This team runs much better with no zeke to bog them down.

Doesn’t change anything. The stats are appallingly in favor of no zeke.

Zeke is only a microcosm of this franchise's real problems, you know that already.

Oh there's plenty of problems to spread around, that's for sure.....on both sides of the ball.

Zeke not playing is not the reason we lost to GB.

Yeah, I really don't care if he plays or not. I just care if we win. If he plays and we win, I'm good with that. If he doesn't and we win, I'm good with that. Some fans just get obsessed with certain players.

you mean when he ran for 133 yards at 5.7 yards a clip?

So your a zeke lover and pollard hater too?
You really have gone off the rail.

If that equals running barefoot in the sand, Zeke must be running in wet, freshly poured concrete. LOL
Granted Zeke used to be considerably faster, quicker, and more elusive. Key words: "Used to be".
He's not the Zeke he used to be.

Amen at the end of the day it should always be about winning first everything else a distant second. That said, there is merit to the thought that certain players play winning football and others while not necessarily playing losing football, don't do enough of the things that lead to winning football if that makes sense. I want Zeke to play because he's one of those guys who plays winning football. He is a good all around football player. I know some think he isn't capable of more than he is doing for the Cowboys.. I just happen to disagree. I think he CAN do more.. but they don't ask that of him.. and he has been a really good soldier about doing what HAS been asked of him. Coaches love guys like that.. even if some fans don't. That willingness to do whatever it takes for the good of the team is why Zeke will be able to play in the league as long as he wants to.
