Is Zeke sitting again?

Given that 12 of those 16 games were played on one leg I'm not sure this statement carries any weight. He's been over 5 ypc in 5 of his last 10 healthy games.. True or false?

So at the detriment of the team he played hurt? I don’t know what we’re classifying as him being healthy so I have no idea. Going back to the playoffs last year he’s had 2 out of 10 games over 5 ypc. Pollard has had 5 this season.

While I see what Zeke brings in terms of wearing down a defense and pass blocking, most believe he is gone after this season and Pollard has proven himself the last 2 games without Zeke so if Dallas was smart they keep the Pollard & Davis combo this week and allow Zeke to sit again so as to see if the Pollard/Davis combo is something to continue with beyond this season, especially against a top team like the Vikings.

Was it to the detriment of the team? Clearly not in the eyes of the coaching staff. Those are the people who make that call. I called for him to sit as soon as I saw that knee lock up on him the first time. They chose to keep playing him.. They had a winning record with him playing on that one leg so how much detriment was it really? Again.. I don't know the answer to that question. They clearly felt as though they needed his blocking and his toughness in the lineup.. Especially with what was going on with the line during that middle stretch of the season. Whether we agree with it or not, that's what they did.

Yes Pollard has had more 5+ ypc games.. You know what else he has had? More < 2 ypc carry games.. 2 to zero. And in both instances it wasn't like 1 or two carries.. it was 6 and 8.. certainly enough time to figure out the soft spot of the defense given you're getting to stand on the sideline and watch them play Zeke. Pollard has had the luxury of playing these last two games against two bottom five rush defenses. I don't have a lot of doubt that had Zeke been healthy and played in those games he would have lit them up too.. as he did last year when he played bottom feeder run defenses like the Chargers and the Panthers - again before the knee injury.

I will say again.. I don't want Zeke to come back limping just like I didn't want him playing last year limping. I think this team can tread water without him until he's healthy and even if they lose 1 or 2 they shouldn't have without him I think a fresh Zeke wins you 1 or 2 you're maybe not supposed to later.. including the playoffs. I'll take that trade.

Yea, he shouldn’t have been playing so much last year so we agree on that. Maybe it makes a difference on some of Ls down the stretch.

OK - so take the average of all the games, good and bad and who comes out on top? TP…

Can't believe people actually believe the running game was a reason we lost lol

Well not sticking with it enough certainly played a part.. If they just run it three times and kick the FG when they at the 10 yard line before the first INT it's 10-0 and the Packers are in big trouble. Even if everything else plays out the same the Cowboys win the game 31-28 in regulation instead of losing it in OT.

But that's Moores fault for not running, not Pollard. Zeke being in there wouldn't have changed it, people have always complained about Moore abandoning the run even when it's working

What are classifying as a good game? Over 5 ypc? Some number of TDs? Some other milestone? Total yards? If it's yards per carry that's always going to favor Pollard since they typically don't smash him into the line near as often as they do Zeke. If it's TDs I'm pretty sure Zeke has scored more over the last two seasons.. If it's total yards .. again advantage Zeke.. I think their first down percentages are pretty even.. which is remarkable given that so many of Zeke's carries have been 3rd or 4th and short or goal to go with 11 defenders in the box. (Yes I am being facetious.) The bottom line is both guys are pretty good players and the team is better having them both vs just one or the other. As long as Moore remembers to keep giving them the ball and feeds whichever one is feelin it at any given time the Cowboys will win more games that they lose.

We’ve done this song and dance before with just about every stat out there and the eyeball test in Pollards favor…if you don’t see Zeke as the lesser runner at this stage his career I dont know what to tell you.

Cute thought but right now we're .500 without him.. Continue that trend and the team finishes 10-7 and very much in danger of missing the playoffs. I'd rather go back to the 4-2 with him. That should translate into 5-3 or 6-2 down the stretch.. firmly in the playoffs and a shot at hosting one if Philthy falls apart like we know they want to.

What is the teams record this year with Dak?

It’s funnier then that. They are claiming we lost because zeke didn’t play. Lol

Well it did have a lot to do with it. Ball control, wear down the defense. You know it is true. That 3rd and 4 it OT, you run Zeke or Pollard to see if you get a 1st down.
However with a 14 point lead, Zeke is in, and they pound the ball with both Zeke and Tony. Protect the lead. It doesn't get to OT.

Also maybe idiot Moore calls a different game, and Dak doesn't throw those 2 very costly picks.

But your hate for Zeke will not allow you to understand or admit that.

We'd have more 3 and outs with Zeke in there, but your homerism doesn't allow you to see that

Cowboys run game is much better without zeke. Much better. Numbers show that clearly.

zeke doesn’t ware down defenses. Another complete myth.

at what point did Moore call A poor game? Since your so certain.

i agree if zeke plays we probably never get to overtime. We lose in regulation. Maybe blown out.

without zeke we average 7.2 ypc and 180 yards rushing per game. Zeke Boggs down the offense and the run game.

This year in the 4th quarter, Zeke has 25 carries for 61 yards for 2.6 ypc. Seems like Zeke is more worn out than defenses are. Again, your blind homerism won't allow you to see the truth
