Isn't it great knowing the Cowboys are for real?

Best I’ve felt about the Cowboys in a while…

Used to have to hope that Romo / Dak would carry us to wins scoring 30+ but now once Dak comes back we can have team wins where Dak won’t have us much pressure to put up 30.

Looking forward to this team 2nd half of the season once they have QB1.

This is the first time since 2014 that I thought the Cowboys had found something that was more than just hype. They had hired Scott Linehan as new offensive coordinator and Jerry had forced Jason Garrett to take a backseat and allow Linehan to run the offense.
The result was DeMarco Murray ripping through defenses, ending the pass happy ways of Jason Garrett and Tony Romo.
The Cowboys lost narrowly to Green Bay, in the playoffs when Demarco Murray fumbled on what would have been a game sealing touchdown run- instead sealing Demarco's fate when contract talks came about the next season.
Still, Dez Bryant's catch at the 1 yard line- overturned when MIKE MCCARTHY challenged the call-almost pulled the game out.
This year it's Cooper Rush and the Cowboys defense working together with Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard that seems to have that "feel" of being "for real".
No longer are offensive drives ending regularly on "three-and-outs".
It's awesome- and even the haters should admit that!

For real only to let us down later

Yeah, but it's great knowing that this is working. I have thoroughly enjoyed the structure of the Cowboys offense and the purpose with which they attack the defenses.
And honestly, Cooper Rush’s accuracy has really impressed me.
I am enjoying the season.
The QB deal is the black cloud hanging over the team.
Be glad once it's resolved.
Hope it does not linger.

Sorry but I've seen this before. I've seen these posts before. Don't care what stats are thrown out. It's always ended in disappointment. Cowboys aren't for real until they show something in the playoffs. Wouldn't matter if they went 16-0 in the reg season and broke a million reg season records.

Couldn't you have waited with that post until after the game? I mean beating the SB champs was very cool, but beating the best team THIS YEAR (at least in the standings) with our backup QB says way more about the status of these 2022 Cowboys.

Yes.

I know they are a good team.

Most years, I'm trying to convince myself. I've been thinking this was a good team since this offseason. Even last year.

But if we don't get it done this year, chances are this team wins, if you bring the same team next year, one out of two or every three years. They are that good.

And Dallas hasn't been to a Superbowl for 26 years & them Crickets look like a T Rex now. :lmao2:

I wish people would just stop saying 26 years.. Let this team be themselves. Nobody cares what happened in the freaking 1990s anymore.

Yes, it really, really true -- the Cowboys are "back in the saddle" and worthy of loving admiration, now! Let's just hope that fuzzy emotion continues to thrive, undisturbed, until the end of time . . . Yippee!! :flagwave:

Cooper Rush is winning, but he sucks. Lol the defense is bailing him out. We need a franchise quarterback. But make no mistake about it Prescott is far better
I don't see what you see. Prescott managed just three points in the first game. Cooper Rush has repeatedly driven the Cowboys down the field in every game since taking over, and put points on the board in every game.
You're wanting to judge/condemn a guy who came off the bench and led the Cowboys to 4 straight wins as if he had been playing for several years, yet you defend the guy who was supposed to be our franchise quarterback but choked in the playoffs just last season and put up 3 points in the opening night of this season.
Prescott has a history of choking in big games, while Rush has a history-albeit short- of winning.
You might want to adjust the way you're seeing things.

defense wins championships....this team finally has a defense which means a realistic shot vs just a pipedream

Get back to me AFTER Thanksgiving. We've all seen this "early season hype" before.

Don't get me wrong, it is much better to have hype than depression early in the season, but the "real" season doesn't start until Thanksgiving.

I wish we would have just tanked the season when dak went down, now fans know any quarterback can win with this team. I'm glad dak got his money before he's run out of town. I hate Rush and Romo.

The big difference for me is the fact we are playing more often with a lead vs previous years. It changes your style of play.

Do we really know that they're for real?
Recent history tells us to think twice...maybe thrice.

Nah... people in here will crap on anything, its just the way the prefer to live.

The thing about football season is it is 17 games. I enjoy the games, I enjoy the leadup to the games, I enjoy the entire season and that means ups and downs, wins and losses. But thats just me. Are we a contender? yep. But for some, it is never enough. They will sit and complain about every deficiency, every mistake, every penalty and every loss. We could win the SB and it wouldnt take 1 hour after the game where we would see someone complaining that that this one "Lucky," SB win can never erase the 25 years of no SBs and Jerry should still hire a real football guy. Only my love of the Cowboys allows me to get over the constant whining.

Another Dak hate thread from one of the haters...

Uhhh, you didn't get an adrenaline rush and know the Cowboys were for real when Dak and Zeke led the Cowboys to an 11 game win streak in 2016, plus almost beat the Packers during the divisional round of the playoffs?
Being way too sensitive....

Garrett’s ways weren’t “pass happy.”

They were stale and predictable.

He owes Romo virtually his entire career.

Jerry had to set Romo up with a cushy gig to shut his mouth over it.

Don’t wanna believe that? Then don’t, but I do.

Tomlin owes his entre career to Big Ben.
The reat Billy owes his career to Brady. (let me know what Billys record is as a HC without Brady?) Oh, I just did some quick math, it appears the "reatest to ever coach," is 71-79 without Brady.
