Ist preseason game observations

A big change from last year, we have lots of good DL. That's a problem I like to have, great we are stacked at DL and get to pick the best.

Wouldn't mind trying to trade the ones that won't make the roster. Even if it's 6 or 7th round picks. Maybe make a trade for a running back that might get cut. Love to see our lines being stacked with talent

What is that? 3 tech?

If you are serious I will try to help

The 3Tackle plays between the OG and OT and tries to penetrate
The 1T or UnderTackle plays between the C and OG and is usually more of a run stopper

Hardy has the size to play DE or 3T and he will slide inside plenty this year on pass rush situations

We could see a lot of: RGregory- TCrawford- GHardy- DLawrence

DLaw is not being talked about much. That guy has put in work in the weight room. He looks primed for a good year

It is almost like a fourth 1st round pick IMO.

He basically took a redshirt last year to work out and get used to the NFL.

Lucky Whitehead - blazing return speed and vision. But he must hold on to the ball. Which is\was a worry of mine

Danny Amendola fumbled on his first punt return for the Cowboys.... he turned out OK. Let's see how he does moving forward.

He showed a lot just getting that ball... Then getting the ball back in playoff game. THAT is the beginning of his story... For me....

Id take showers over Vaughn for that reason you mentioned earlier. Vaughs reads are slow. Showers is a little long with his throws right now but atleast they arent late. Being late gets you ints and ur wrs hurt.

No. way Showers is ready to overtake Vaughan.
Weeden and Vaughan were throwing down field more, and deeper. Maybe that's why you say late on throws, it took longer to develop.
Showers threw more check downs. Yes, there were drops, no separation. And I liked some of what I seen. But no way is he ready to be a backup, or right now even a 3rd QB. But give it time, then we will know more.

As I recall, not any of the 3 QBs passes came close to any INt's.

no i mean late throws. late reads. everything late. I wouldnt trust either in a reg season game. The team could cut both id be happy about it. Dallas needs to draft a QB in RD1 or RD2 this coming yr.

Yes, definitely need to draft a QB in the higher rounds. No more of this FA find stuff to get lucky.
