It’s Time to Stop Underrating Dak Prescott

Its hilarious how a lot of you think the only time Dak deserves criticism, is when everything else around him is perfect and he doesnt play well.

Newsflash, the team isnt going to play perfect around him every game. There will be times when the OL doesnt block well, the receivers drop passes, and the defense gives up a lot of points. The QB needs to be able to overcome these things sometimes and if he cant, we will never win anything of significance...

No QB is overcoming that offensive line performance.

By doing what? Blocking well and catching the passes himself?

What does Tom and Aaron do when their teams don’t block well, WR drops numerous passes and the defense cant perform? They lose

Watch the game. There were plenty of times when Dak showed poor pocket presence that led to sacks.

Kirk Cousins went up to Seattle without 4 of his OL, and beat a good Seattle Defense last week.

I agree with the poor pocket presence Dak displayed today. It’s definitely something he needs to work on. Saying that, with this game plan on this team Kirk Cousins would have finished this game with the similar results. We would be 5-4 regardless. Idc who was playing QB and how well their pocket presence are.

I think that Romo was a much better QB than a lot of people were willing to give him credit for. I think that Romo's best years were wasted on Garrett being the coach. From how he calls games you can tell that he has a lot of knowledge about plays before they happen. And Dak's best years will be wasted if Garrett is still the coach.

Always someone else's fault with Tony Romo.

"It was freezing cold in NY that night, give the guy a break"

"The altitude in Denver played a part... plus the Denver defense is elite"

"The guy can't pass block"

- " the eagles are elite , he can only win against bad teams"

Yep, good young quarterbacks definitely are to be dismissed.

Great ones stay.
I noticed Romo did not stay. He could have won this third career playoff wins after 12 or so years. Maybe. Because ad HD always told us after a December pivotal loss, "We have to get better."

Dak has won and made plays when everything wasn’t perfect. His defense has sucked his entire time in dallas so far.

Watch the games.

Neat, I’m assuming these are things poeple here have said regarding the four loses this team has experienced this season. Find what posters have said in other teams after loses. You mentioned Kirk Cousins he has lost five so far (one bad one today). Wonder what those posters say?

Dak deserves criticism when he plays poorly. He just had no chance this game. None.

You’re complaining about people not being objective, when you aren’t being objective either. Making the false insinuation that Dak only plays well when things are “perfect” around him.

That’s not true.

First off, let me start by saying im a huge Dak fan.

With that being said, he didnt play well today or @ Denver for that matter. I find it funny that everytime someone criticizes him in any way, the blame shifts to someone/somewhere else on the team. After Denver, it was Zeke, the OL, and Dez fault “for running poor routes”. Today its, “the OL was horrendous”. Why does it have to be either or? Dak was awful in his own right today. Running in to pressure, throwing several interceptable passes, fumbling while trying to get in FG range before the half. These are facts. But nope, not on this site. You criticize him in anyway and its “omg no qb could win under these conditions”

Dude, you just watched this staff completely piss off Romos career and only manage 2 playoff wins. Romo was basically Houdini at the qb position and got similar results but you expect them to get better with a 2nd yr qb? I get it, some of you don't like Dak but you really do need to look at the big picture here.

I am glad to hear you are a Dak fan. As I do think he is a good QB.

I guess my perspective and thoughts on things are just different. Just in that I personally think very few QB’s play well under those conditions today.

Yes Dak didn’t overcome it. But man he was getting drilled all game long.

Did he miss some plays he should have made? Yes of course. He is just way down the list of reasons we lost today. IMO.

But yeah he is a second year QB who has things he needs to get better at. He is not a finished product yet.

I don't understand why you guys keep arguing with guys who don't think Dak is good.
It seems like a waste of energy to me.
