It Finally Happened

That happens when you have a terrible offensive line and more importantly you lose your Franchise QB for 6-8 games with injury.

That tends to hurt offenses just a little bit.

It was a little sarcasm.

Its funny how stats ruin football.

Thought our O has been in the Top 10 the past 3 or 4yrs and Top 3 last. I could be wrong though. I didn't know that was avg. Just sayin!!!

You thought wrong then i guess? Idk what to tell you.

2008 we were 18th in the league.

2009 we were 14th in the league.

2010 we are 19th in the league.

That may be fine for most teams.. but with an offense that has as many weapons as we do, you'd think anyone could get more production out of the unit. Granted this year Romo has been out the last couple games, but still. That's no excuse for the last couple years.

The condition of having an offensive coordinate hired immediately before a head coach* with the expectation that that coordinator will be replacing that head coach within a few years. I don't think that anyone has succeeded with that model elsewhere.

*With the head coach not having an input in the hiring.
I swear, our fans are daisies. Rant on. That is a worthless topic.

Is that in pts score or total offense? I believe we were higher then that in total offense...

Who has, and don't say me, because I've taken no credit for it which yu'd have to do to pat yourself on the back, and yesterday when asked if I am happy I said no because we are 1-7.

Are you bright enough to separate the 2 concepts?

I'm sure this O under JG watch set team records or came close to it...

It's so old it's been taken down, but Mosley reported it at the time.

Yes, this is from January of '08.

The only assistant the Cowboys hired this off-season that Phillips has worked with before is OL coach Hudson Houck. Their paths crossed briefly in San Diego, but Matt Mosley reported that Phillips wanted to hire ex-Kansas City offensive coordinator Mike Solari but was vetoed by Jerry.

Okay. I am pretty skeptical of that report, but I'll accept it.

Probably. People generally pick only one, or two catagories, in order to cherry pick so they can make their case.

The offense is EVERYTHING that goes into the offense. Yards, TDs, turnovers, etc. It's not just one thing.

Yes one are is more important than others, no one will deny, but you can't say "they weren't high in one catagory but they were in every other so therefor they suck."

That's ignorant.

Cherry picking?! lol. Thank goodness you arn't coaching.

Its not as if i'm talking about only rushing yards after the first hit, or receiving yards after the catch.

Its points, scoring.. aka THE ONLY STAT THAT MATTERS.

If we're piling up the yards that's great, but if we don't get into the endzone it means nothing. NOTHING.

Your offense is judged on the points you put on the board.. if you routinely put up 90 yard drives but can't ever get into the endzone, does it matter? No.

Love the stories, but that's all they are. Stories.

Of course you arn't going to hear coaches badmouth Jerry, especially not Garrett when he was just named the head coach. What's he going to say?

"Oh yea Jerry meddled with Wade's team, but he needs to keep his paws off of mine."

..get real.

Its widely known that Jimmy left here because he couldn't stand Jerry anymore and didn't let him operate the way that Jimmy wanted to. And they were good friends. Even Jerry's friend couldn't stand him after he came here and tried to coach for him.

Also, do you see any other owner come down onto the field in the middle of games? Stand and talk to the coaches? The players? That's not meddling or interfering at all? You don't think that's any kind of a distraction to the team during the game? REALLY??

Do you see any other owner sitting at press conferences, speaking out of turn and answering questions that normally the head coach would answer about the football team? Or sitting with the head coach, right over his shoulder answering things about how the team is doing, etc.. See any other owners doing that sort of thing?

As well, do you see any other franchise holding their training camp at 3 different locations? Providing a circus like atmosphere around the time of the year where your football team has to be focused on coming together and learning and trying to get our crap together to win football games? Any other teams do this? Not to mention make them practice on a hard turf that the players speak out against, because it causes more injuries?

Jerry is a meddler. He does things to make money and keep himself in the spotlight. Im sure he wants to win.. but his ego is so big that he doesn't even realize that he gets in the way of winning with his senseless behavior. Case in point.. he's still the GM of this team, responsible for the last couple drafts since Parcells and the guy who talked of winning a super bowl this year yet did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in free agency last offseason to make us better.

You believe what you want, but i've seen plenty that shows me and the other fans who see reality that Jerry is a meddler and his ego takes precedence over everything.

This is a good post. Now I got it?:

Jerry did it. Idiot...

He took the team to the games and got them all drunk and stuff, huh? Well, he did take them all over the country.

Hey...do you think that Jerry is paying off the other teams to win? He could have a bet in Vegas to make more money?

Does this have any relevance to anything? Maybe you're drunk? lol

I apoligize if i said things that you didn't realize were going on, but they do have an affect on the team, and on trying to win football games. If you can't see that i'd have to say you're pretty thick.

Uh, you want to explain to me what two concepts you are talking about? You sure do have a surly attitude to come at me like that for no reason....

Why the "F" do you caome back with a reply like that? You and your condescending attitude is seriously pissing me off...."are you bright enough to separate the 2 concepts? Show me ONE post where I have come down on you. ONE. Yet you come at me with a "Are you bright enough..." Up yours dude!

Yet another wrong assumption.

My track record this season is better than yours, but whatever.

The point is calling fans "pansies" when you watch garbage like the last 3 weeks, the anger and name calling is displaced.

I just gave you the stats. If we set some team records then show me. It wasn't in points though, i guarentee you that. lol

Ok, if you say so but whats the "lol" for? Are you happy that we didn't set team records? The stats you gave, were they for pts scored or total offense? You looked them up, right?

Kudos I guess. I didn't call anyone pansies. I said Daisies and it was a reference to the movie Tombstone and Doc Holiday.

Im laughing because we haven't ever scored nearly enough points under JG. We had/still have so many weapons since he's been here and yet we don't score nearly enough to even be near the top of the league.

The stats were for points scored.. the benchmark for any and every offense.
