First of all, I don't know if you watched that Skins-Bucs game but any team that can put up over 500 yards and only get 3 points should just stay home. At least the kidnappers will let Fitzpatrick's family go now.
Last season, the game that started the fall of not only the team but the QB was exactly where they're headed this week. The Cowboys are not only in need of some payback but showing they can win more than one in a row. They're facing a team on the ropes and if they can't get at least another 27 on the road, then this game last night was nothing more than another tease. If they have indeed turned the corner and this wasn't just a one off, they will defeat the Falcons Sunday...….. decidedly.
The Skins are the worst looking team with a winning record in the NFL and face the Texans so if the Cowboys can take care of business, we should have us a TDay game to pull even but even more importantly, a two game win streak going into the game. If the Skins beat the Texans, I will change my opinion.
The Skins have the easier schedule from here on out with PHL, twice, NYG, JAX and TEN after TDay. These games this Sunday need to fall our way if we are to have a shot at the division, which I believe is our only path in.
And while some may feel we're just stalling the inevitable, I will not look the gift of renewed hope that game delivered last night. A loss last night and all hope would have been gone and while hope isn't the best way to hang onto the season, sure as hell beats the alternative.
And somewhere off in the distance, I hear a song playing. "Uh, uh, uh, uh stayin' alive, stayin' alive, uh, uh, uh, uh stayin' alive, stayin' alive...stayin' alllllliiiiiivvvvvvve". If that's too tough on the "Garrote Garretteers", picture him boppin' down the street in the beginning of that movie. That does it for me.
