It is setting up nicely for a run

Revenge game. It's certainly winnable, as is the Thanksgiving day home game against the Skins. 6-5 isn't unrealistic. The Saints game will be almost certainly a loss, but we get the Eagles again at home after a 10 day rest and they'll be coming off a road MNF game, a scheduling fluke that I haven't seen in 10 years. Then we end with the Colts, Bucs and Giants.

Yesterday's game was the key to the season.
Everybody said we wouldn't beat the eagles too...... Saints aren't unstoppable and we play in Dallas. Certainly it will be the hardest game left but if we win the rest of our games and only lose to the saints I can live with that. We need Philly to beat Washington at least once though.

Lol, what does Dallas will start playing like Dallas mean? No offense, but based on the past twenty years that doesn’t sound good to me.

I’d much rather see Dallas start playing like the Saints or the Rams.
Yeah, I think maybe he should've said "Dallas will start playing the way we want Dallas to play."

I see a lot of soft defenses on the remaining schedule. In terms of points allowed per game, only Washington and Philly rank better than 22. I'm guessing Philly will have two of its corners back for the rematch (not really sure), but that's still a relatively easy stretch for the offense.

Would an infusion of points save Garrett even if the team finished, say, 7-9? Not asking whether it should.

Which is better?

8-8 and Garrett returns next season
6-10 and Garrett gets his walking papers

It won't really matter either way. It seems we as fans are stuck with #4 as the QB for the foreseeable future. I think last nights game was a fluke. The Eagles were looking past Dallas, and got bit in this hind end for it. Atlanta will not be gazing down the road, they need wins and need them badly.
Before the season started I thought Dallas may win 3 games. I didn't realize how bad the Giants and the Jags were going to be this year. I thought they would beat the Lions, the Texans and split with the Skins. So I guess they have surpassed my expectations. I still believe they will split with the Skins and they may beat the Colts, Bucs and Giants to end the season so I guess 8-8 is looking about right now.
Hopefully carrot top will be gone but I don't hold my breath as what real coach of quality would come to Dallas and be told who is the QB, OC, DC, STC, QBC, etc.

Have to take it one game at a time. Don't eat the cheese, just because Atlanta lost to Cleveland doesn't mean we will have the same result. The Cowboy's can easily get 40 put up on them Sunday.

I had no doubt the Cowboys were going to get curb stomped last night. While l love seeing them beat the Eagles, l also have no doubt we'll see the SOS in the near future.

I don't care if this team finishes 10-6. Garrett needs to go if they don't make the playoffs, or even if they do but go one-n-done again. Nothing short of an NFC Championship game should save his job...

with 12 new faces on the game day O roster, and no Dez, Witten, or Frederick ... 6 new WRs and 3 new TEs

I expected 4-4 and a likely win streak in the 2nd half of the season as the O gelled

this is not a disaster - just rebuilding the O

to get fired JG would have to have the sort of emotional break down Wade did on he sidelines

I bet you said the same thing after we beat Jags. Temper your expectations to avoid disappointment.

I would rather us turn around the season and the Oline to play like they did last night and for Clappy the clown to find his stones every week like he did last night. But I have watched these fools too long to know that it doesn't last.

Clappy the clown is clueless and desperate.

Some of his decisions lately have been an over-reaction to the criticism he got when he didn't go for it on 4th and 1 in OT at the Texans 40. But almost everytime we've had a similar situation, even in the 1st or 2nd quarter and on our side of the field he now goes for it. It's like he has no sense of situational football and is only reacting to prior criticism in a similar yet different situation.

But some of it last night was also due to him being desperate over his job and the season on the brink of unraveling. But it's not like he suddenly learned how to coach overnight or grew a pair. He's just desperate and over-reacting.

Just look at all of the non-contact mental penalties we still had last night. We're just fortunate the Eagles are still on a Super Bowl hangover and were minus three starters in the secondary.

Yah, I don't believe in that line. Some team doing it once in 100 years doesn't seem like great odds to me. And the Giants defense was all world when they did that down the stretch. Ours isn't.

This is revisionist history. When the Giants snuck into the playoffs in 4 of their last 5 games they gave up 49, 38, 37, 29 limped into the playoffs and then started playing out of their minds when they got there. They were heavy underdogs and weren't expected to make it out of the wildcard round.

It was the defense in the playoffs that won it for them. And as stated, I dont make sound judgements based on flukes. Where someone like you uses it as proof that it will happen. LOL
