It look like they have successfully killed all of the Romo magic

All I can say is that people should be careful what they wish for. I know quite a few people posted here over the last few years that this is the kind of Romo they wanted. Now they've got it and people still aren't happy.

I didn't realize Romo gave up over 500 yards and 30 points to San Diego. Missed that somehow. Must've been when I went to take a leak.

Did you know he also gave up on a productive running game? 17 attempts .....way too many.... /sarcasm

The lack of a deep ball is *not* the problem with this team right now.

Giving up big plays in the passing game, however....

How many passing attempts came in the 4th quarter, down by two scores? And what was the mix prior to the game situation dictating pass? Sometimes you have to take into account what's actually happened on the field when you look at the play calling.

It's not like the passing game wasn't working, anyway.

He's a .500 qb. JG is a .500 HC. And unfortunately I think the window has closed for them. We won't win any meaningful games with these two. I hope I'm wrong but I think we have wasted Tony's career. And the longer we take to replace these two, the longer it will take to field a winning team.

His two division winning seasons prove that he can be better than a .500 QB. Garrett is the one yet to prove that he is better than .500 HC. I kind of agree that these two together will not win a SB and one has to go. It will not be Romo anytime soon.

He can be better than a .500 qb, but not with this offense. It's dated. It's a qb driven league, and we have an average one.

Yea, but your initial post did not include those reasons :)

Romo is above average, he just so happens to be stuck in this putrid offense which reduces him to average.

Longest pass I see here is 15 yards on a drive that needed points quickly. That's a big problem go pull up the drive before the half for the Chargers and look at the differences in pass plays

well when a team needs big yards fast i think teams defense against that. Allowing you underneath. I guess thats the difference between reality and madden. Hell im a noob at madden and i can throw up 800 yrds a game lol

I'm less concerned with the lack of deep passes than with the inability or unwillingness to get WR's the ball in stride going across the middle of the field. Have never understood why Dallas doesn't do that more.

In preseason Romo threw the ball to Dez in coverage. I thought they had that special connection & were going to eat up Defense's all yr. Not the case! The Julio Jones catch was ATL trusting him to make the play.. So now Garrett doesn't want Romo to throw int's well how about throwing some TD's with balls on it. So yes Room looks like A.Smith, but at least Alex go's to Bowe in coverage.

Actually Alex Smith doesn't throw to Bowe at all, take a look at his stats. I drafted him on my fantasy team and he's been brutal for me. Romo throws to Dez way more often than Smith throws to Bowe
