why? did we bring in all new players? or were we shooting for 8-8 for a reason?

The natural aging process and not adding or replacing any talent on the team. They forced Dez Bryant into the roster, who only had 2 years of college ball and was suspended for most of the year before, not ready for the pros. It just wasn't the same team.

big nasty is not the antithesis of RKG
but I agree SF and Seattle are learning the art of player acquisition

49ers have alot of good players drafted when they sucked for 5 or 6 years and were picking from the top of the draft. Those players are coming due for a payday. They're primary RB is old and tired. Their star OLB Aldon is destined to due time for some stupidity. They have a "star" QB who can get it done with his legs, but not much else. And he's going to want to be paid top dollar. Harbaugh knows all this and is looking to jump ship soon enough.

The irony being, the 49er team you admire so much, is the early 80's Cowboy team that lost several close Championship games with Danny White. A team many referred to as losers since they couldn't win the big game.

Don't forget Harblow is rubbing everyones nerves a little raw. I'm looking forward to his assessment of the Seahawks this year at the TC press conferences.

Actually, it's 3 1/2 years into the process. Unless you're counting to the end of this upcoming season which hasn't happened yet. So I'll check back with you in January 2015

3 1/2 yrs of the PROCESS is behind us. In the past. Its history.

Do check back and we'll let you know how things went.

I disagree.

Many of those players have received their payday. You can't possibly be very good for 3 years, and have players drafted in the 5 to 6 year window prior to being good and still owe everyone money.

Not to mention any benefit in "talent" they received by picking high in the draft was immediately washed out the moment those players were given their rookie contracts under the old CBA. $50M for Alex Smith in 2005?
