yeah, i read it. his teams were competitive, but his successes moderate. you could say the same thing about parcells.

Norv Turner and Wade Phillips are both possibilities...the DC in San Diego is a possibility. Even Steve Mariuchi is a possibility. All of these guys have been successful in certain cities...you can't fault guys or judge them by their success or lack of it in places like Detroit, Oakland, etc.

Fans need to keep an open mind...just because you hear certain names bandied about in the media doesn't mean they are the best selections.

JJ will conduct the interviews and make solid decisions, I think...I feel he learned quite a bit from Parcells.

But I don't throw out coaching possibilities just because they were unsuccessful in a town where no one has been successful.

San Diego's aggressive defense, which blitzed almost twice as much as we did (354 times to our 187) and was more successful at it than we were.

He's been an NFL head coach before, he took his team to the playoffs and he led an aggressive 3-4 defense. We could do worse.
