The only team I would give us a 50-50 chance against right now is Vegas. And we don't play them. I dont see another win on the schedule. None. Cleveland's defense is good enough to win them another game or 2. I think we pick in the top five at worst. Possibly top 3. And No.1 is not out of the question. Our offence is just that bad. And our D isn't good enough to hold teams to under 5 Aubrey FGs or score defensive Tds. That leaves us counting on special teams Tds. That's not a lot of hope. And the way things have went so far, I would expect more injuries happening to our roster.

Just took a look at the standings. Including Dallas there are 17 awful teams with 2,3 or 4 wins. Have to keep losing. 6-7 wins might land you the 14th pick. That would add insult to injury after this crap show.
Sometimes I think this franchise is cursed.

Next season should be a weak team as well so two consecutive seasons of good draft position may help

There is still half a season to play. Many of the losing team will play each other and someone has to win. The Cowboys play the Giants and Panthers. The Dolphins Jets and Patriots all have to play each others. Last year the Giants were 6-11 and picked 6th. I think the Cowboys will be drafting in the top 10 which is good enough for them to grab an impact player if they don't do something stupid.

I am more worried that this draft class may not be strong in the positions they need. But we'll see how the college season plays out too.
Well do we draft a qb with that top pick if we do get in top ten? Is there a top tier RB that won’t wear down after just a few years? We need a real wr that will take some real pressure off ceedee lamb. We need so much top ten help that I think we all will still be disappointed.
Not saying I don’t want top ten pick, just voicing my frustration with this team, particularly Jerry (and McCarthy)

They aren’t winning any more than 1 maybe 2 games.

Panthers are much improved and the Giants likely will be playing with Drew Lock. They may sneak a win against the Commanders 3rd string in week 18.

There is little to no chance we don’t end up with a top 5 pick.
Yep. I doubt we win another game, unless the Giants just try to out-tank us.

We'll have the worse QB every game from here on out, and we still have no DL.

I thought this thread was going to be about this draft not looking very good. Not IMO anyway.

We will now be going into every game with a horrid situation at QB, a lame duck HC, an offensive system that isn’t working,
a D that can’t stop the run, and a locker room that has lost interest in this season.

I think beating both NYG and Car is unlikely. 4-13 or 5-12 finish looks highly likely.
We were in a “horrid” situation at QB before Dak went down.

The draft doesn't guarantee anything? It's the only resource this team cares about. And if you have the possibility to be sitting top 5 compared to top 15 in every single round it makes any win at the tail end of a crap season even worse. Plus it's much easier to trade up or back in that scenario. There are far more positives specially with major needs at key positions. DT, DE, RB, WR, S, OL.. on and on it goes. And now no 4th rounder.

Any win between now and the final week is just a step backwards. That's another huge part of the problem with this team, they never show any vision or preparation for the future when the present is a lost cause. They created this mess in the first place and never have any idea how to fix it.
Any win is a good win, in my eyes. I never enjoyed a loss.

So we won’t have good draft position also because there are worser teams out there, LOL . What sad state of affairs !

Dak was struggling and having a bad year. The offense was anemic.

But what we saw on Sunday was a whole different animal. Rush was abysmal and the offense cratered and disappeared.

There is a difference between a C- and an F on your report card

No one enjoys losing but those wins with no shot at a playoff spot never helped this team. This is a business.. and there should always be an eye on future success when you're not having any right now.

Who cares about positioning, sometimes the teams ahead of you make mistakes and leave you the better player anyways

It's a business for Jerry, it's a game for me....I don't like losing, pisses me off. Part of the game; still pisses me off and i don't think about the draft until after the season. Doesn't make any difference what we want, may as well enjoy the wins, when we can get them.

That's what confuses me about The Lance trade. As if that pick would have been a team changer? Very doubtful.
Jerry trying to make a splash or put pressure on Dak....that all went away when Lance threw 5 picks in the preseason game

Yes...fine...I get it. People thinking that 4th was a sure thing for us...I don't get.
