I don't see us winning another game this year. At least, I hope we don't. 43 passing yards? Do I have that number correct? I have never seen anything like that in my life.

not sure what happened to NFL parity...perhaps its being bad parity
The NFL is set up for parity. So, over time, poorly run franchises will sink to the bottom and stay there unless they change how they run their organization. The well run franchises will stay at the top. Washington is an example of dramatic change in the organization, dramatic change in on field performance. Carolina is the opposite of Washington.

Dallas’ unwillingness to change does not bode well for the near future.

Even in my worst nightmare, I never dreamed that I would read a post where Cowboys fans are discussing the best way to tank a season.

Consider a scenario where the Cowboys were 3-13 going into the last game at home against Washington. Washington needs to win to make the playoffs. Cowboys need to lose to get the #1 overall pick in the 2025 draft.

I would hope the Cowboys beat the living excrement out of Washington.

Any talk about tanking games to get a higher draft pick just makes me nauseous.

The best feelings besides winning a Super Bowl, for a non-playoff team ending a terrible season would be to ruin a division rival's chance to win a Super Bowl.

If a player, coach, or owner can't value winning over advantageous draft positions, then it doesn't matter if they get the top five picks in the 1st round. A winning culture is something that must be developed within an organization and that begins and ends with winning.

Just took a look at the standings. Including Dallas there are 17 awful teams with 2,3 or 4 wins. Have to keep losing. 6-7 wins might land you the 14th pick. That would add insult to injury after this crap show.
Some of these trash teams play each other we know Cowboys have Panthers and Giants…..

There's a website called Tankathon that real time updates draft order. We are currently sitting at 11. I think a top 5 pick is going to be tough.
thanks bookmarked that site !

Yep, nice call. Could still fix itself as teams beat up on each other, but generally right.

Doesn’t matter though, Jerry is taking the Boise RB at pick 3 or pick ten. Have to recreate those triplets.

Also, this won’t be the last top ten pick they have for some time. Until they realize that they aren’t football geniuses, this is going nowhere.

Must suck to have all the money in the world to do whatever, but you can’t buy the thing that you really want. Has to actually be earned and you can’t do it.
lol. He better not take a freaking RB in the Top 10.

Pitiful. So Rush had 45 passing yards and Lance had 21 so that is 66 total passing yards. I have never seen that in an NFL game. How are we that bad?

Not only that....but this upcoming draft really doesn't have the high end talent the past couple of drafts have had.

The best QB in this draft.....may have been the 6th or 7th taken last year. Maybe lower.

As good as the Colorado WR/CB is, he would have been at BEST the 3rd wr taken last year, probably 4th. He probably would have been the 2nd corner.

No edge pass rushers would have cracked the top 3 last year.

One of the worst years in recent history to be bad

We really had no business beating Pittsburgh. That win is going to be the difference between picking top 1-4 and now 6-10 probably.

The last time I looked the Dallas Cowboys were ranked very near the bottom of the list of NFL teams. Yet, it doesn't guarantee that getting early picks in the draft will be fortuitous in terms of being successful in the future. This team sorely needs an executive to change things on the football field of play. Jerry isn't getting any smarter in his old age and that's an grievous understatement. He needs to totally step aside before it's too late.

They aren't winning 4 more. Hopefully, they can lose them all and move up to the one spot. It would really help to lose to the Giants and the Panthers.

See Washington, Detroit, and Houston. They can turn the team around quickly if they land in the 1 or 2 spots. It gives them a lot of options.

I have a feeling we will win 6+ games. Especially if Bland comes back. Houston, Washington, Cincinnati,Carolina, and New York are winnable games.
