Watch Lawrence have a 10 sack season, then what?
Let another team pay him big money. He disappears for large chunks of the season and seems to always have some type of health issue going on. So what if he shows up in his contract year, my guess is he'll fade away on another team. In 2019, they'll be a list of top 10 list of worst FA signings of 2018, he'll be number 2... right behind cousins.

Can we play a freaking season before we concern ourselves with that BS. Some folks can never have enough fires burning around the Cowboys.
Orphan zoners: Please sir, can I discuss something else?

Topic ****:. No...no more topics for you!

An organization has to think beyond.

In all honesty, we don't seem to be caught with our pants down.
I agree. Sometimes you guess right and you get a Tyron Smith contract, sometimes you guess wrong and you get a Tyrone Crawford contract.

So I take you like the fire starters.
No, I just like to talk about whatever I want talk about when I want to talk about it. And though this is not my op to defend, I find it ridiculous that a person would criticize another person simply for wanting to talk about something different. This is, after all, a blog. No one super glued New Bride articles over your sports section. In this format you could find a topic you like or simply start a discussion of your liking. So many choices. So easy. And yet you choose to troll. Is this really how you want to be remembered?o_O

You judge me all wrong. I have no problem with new topics being discussed. I just think they don't have to be fires with a year long fuse. You want to talk about whatever you want to talk about whenever you want to talk about it but you begrudge me the same courtesy? You seem to have self appointed yourself the purveyor of who is and isn't a "troll" around here. How convenient that must be, going around calling all those you have a problem with a "troll". So self importantly righteous of you to take on that responsibility. I'm not your enemy. In truth, I'm not such a bad person what-so-ever but you go ahead a persecute away.

The UDFA's I believe will be RFA's. Irving, and Collins will carry max tenders.

I think we let Lawrence walk. Hopefully he has a good year and can net a 3rd round comp.

Lawrence will not get us a third round comp. If he has a good year we won't let him walk.

You are correct. The article points this out as well:

Four players are former Cowboys UDFAs (La'el Collins, David Irving, Keith Smith, Lucky Whitehead) who are all on their first contracts with the Cowboys and will all be restricted free agents

Kinda feel like TWill when I think about DLaw. Don't really care if he stays, if he gives us a good deal.

If he gives us a good deal like TWill did, he could be back. Never really thought TWill would be back til I saw that deal. Same could go with DLaw.

If he actually did put up 10 sacks, be hard to just let him walk if he wants to stay for a good deal.

Depends on the season.....if we win a SB, Jerry might start handing out contracts like free candy.

Hope not, but it very well could happen.
I was basing my opinion on the available salary cap situation the Cowboys will be in. With plenty to spend we will keep that many more. But your point is very valid in that players will have increased value of themselves should the Cowboys win it all. But, Stephen won't allow Jerry to have the checkbook. Ha!
