Trade arguably our best player because he and his agent started high on contract negotiations, a month before training camp opens? On the idea scale, I'm gonna say that's on the horrible side.

Nobody is going to give him a true $17M/year so there's nobody that will trade for him. There may be teams willing to give him $22M or $23M base salaries 7 or 8 years from now, but he'd be a fool for accepting it because he'd never see a single dime of base salaries that high.

People need to relax.

There's a reason all the young and elite WRs are not signed to long term deals.

A.J. Green, Julio Jones, DeMaryius Thomas, and Dez Bryant. All great talents and all on 1-year deals. Teams are banking on the price coming down, and it will.
