It's a Let's trade Dez Thread

Trade him, then when we suck and waste another Romo year, who gets the blame then? Back to fire red?

Trade 88...I love him...my fav since Irvin....but 17mm is ridiculous. Trade his butt to the Saints for Mark Ingram and next year's 2nd, then go out and sign Da'rick Rogers who just got cut by the Chiefs. Dooley knows him from his Tenn days...Mark Ingram and Rogers, Williams, and Beasley as your top 3....I could live with that...

What a horrible, yet laughable, idea.

Don't jump the gun OP. This is par for the course. I swear you can tell the new NFL football fans by 88's situation, lol.

These type deals don't get done in the media they get done at 2am by a text message before the deadline. Dez will be signed by July 15th.

Oh gawd.

Barring a lingering rift, I seriously doubt either Dez or the Cowboys would want a trade to materialize. I feel reasonably confident that by next year at the latest, a contract amenable to both sides will be agreed upon.

I love message board ideas. Although they never happen because Owners don't live in fantasy fan universes.

Hold your water.

Or, as Mickey says, the cats always come out of the tree in the end. He's going to do a deal, eventually. I wouldn't even consider trading a catalytic player like Dez in his prime.

Hahah. I lol'ed. That is a terrible quip, Mickey.

I kind of like the analogy. Sometimes these guys get stuck up in those trees, expecting a bigger deal then they can justify, and then they can't get down. So they meow and do what they can to get some attention, hoping somebody will get them out of it. But they never die up there. Sooner or later they realize that 'up a tree' is no place to be for the long run, and they come on down. Like I said, that franchise tender buys a lot of tuna fish.
