He's been in the offense for like 6 years. Why should he play? Hell, Pollard shouldn't either
They can do that stuff in training camp.Hate to disagree bro but linemen need time together to get in sync. The five guys need to function as a unit and they need live bullets to learn how each one reacts to live situations and how they can best work together. Tyron is breaking in a rookie linemate and Zack needs to get more in sync with Steele and Biadasz. Our entire season is literally riding on those guys being good -- together!
The preseason approaches us fast. While we can expect to see many familiar Cowboy faces out on the field, Ezekiel Elliott will not be present.

Don’t think soDid he play in pre-season last year? I honestly can't remember.

You know MM has no respect from his players.Inmates now running the asylum.
I don't mind Zeke not playing. But the coaches should be deciding, not the players

Tyron and been banged up for years now and Martin for the past couple of years.
It's not Tyron's job to break in a linemate. It's the coaches. The starters will get their reps in TC. That's what its for
Sean McVey hasn't played a starter in preseason in 3 or 4 years. They seem to be in sync just fine.
Link or not trueYou know MM has no respect from his players.
There you go...right on cue. Haters never fail to disappoint.Smart. Too bad he wont sit when he is hurt and cant run.
remeber when "everyone" said zeke should have decided to not play hurt last year?
Now "everyone" says zeke shouldn't get to decide to skip some PS games.
Good lord...you guys. Jeeze!
I suspect the headline is written to get clicks. My guess is that the coaches went to him and let him know it was his choice and he was smart enough to choose "no." Emmitt stopped playing in preseason except for one series in the "dress rehearsal" after about his 3rd year. And after about year 6 I doubt he played a single snap in preseason. You guys have been click baited.
Saving him for the season makes sense. The preseason approaches us fast. While we can expect to see many familiar Cowboy faces out on the field, Ezekiel Elliott will not be present.
