It's not bad enough we're facing the Broncos.

And all cancers are addressed. The protocols for testing treatment modalities for cancers are partially paid for with donations as well as grants yada.

I'm all for breast cancer awareness...but when/how did the American Cancer Society decide the other folks with other types of cancer don't count? And that the fight for cancer is gendered?

I know that isn't necessarily how the research internally is conducted...but the messaging is a bit perverse, imo.

That's why I hate it. As a former cancer patient no one else is important to the cancer society other than breast cancer. Many women have other forms of cancer but who cares right? So the breast cancer stuff is overdone. I agree it should not be part of any sport.

The entire premise that Breast Cancer awareness month somehow equates to breast cancer is more important than other cancers is absurd and based on incredibly flawed logic.

Here's a link to one site that shows some of the collaborating organizations for Breast Cancer month: http://www.nbcam.org. Not just the ACS.

Here's a link for the NIH for cancer awareness months: http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/cancerlibrary/cancerobservances. Colorectal, skin, lung, and childhood cancers are just some addressed.

I gave up. It's just negative people looking for any reason to crap on anything positive. Inability to empathize.

No we want empathy to all people. Not racist or sexist. And the frikkin American Heart Association is just as demented. Their perpetual theme...and only highly publicized theme about heart health? "Go Red for Women"

That's dark, folks. Bigotry is what it is.

Because in truth, this is a marketing campaign aimed at women. The NFL would love to reach the female audience like the Olympics does.

Sure. Clearly. The ACS and AHA are pursuing bigoted campaigns and the NFL is acting as complicitous party.

If the NFL really wanted to do something about cancer they could feature some true game day educational content about prevention of all types of cancer. But it's really about greed...expanding their audience.
