Through 4 games, he has 15 combined tackles, 6 sacks, 4 pass deflections, and one INT. Kansas City got to see firsthand the other day what they allowed to get away.

It looks like he has put it all together now while he was showing flashes last season. If he keeps it up and behaves off the field, he's a must resign. Just a freakish talent - we've been hard on this coaching staff, but this is a developmental player. He came into the league raw and in his third season, he's looking like he can be one of the better DT/DE in the league.

There is still a potential knucklehead factor with him, but yeah, on the field he is a beast.
What's the knucklehead factor? I try and keep up with as much as I can....but I have yet to see anything about him being a knucklehead....actually quite the opposite. When he was suspended since he couldn't keep contact with the team he decided to attend and train at the Michael Johnson training center to keep in shape.

Well, he had a domestic violence situation that got dismissed, and then just a couple weeks later got himself suspended for running around with a school stop sign.

I think there is some knucklehead in him - and the fact he's already found a way to get himself suspended in the NFL isn't great.

Still worth the risk though.

What "knucklehead" factor?

Gosh, some of y'all are prudes.

Uh, I don't know, a four game suspension for PEDs, maybe? Not his fault? League conspiracy against Dallas?

Uh, I don't know, an isolated event in his NFL career.

He's a bad, bad boy. Just like Gregory and The Kraken. Release him. We have better "RKG's" on the practice squad.

WAH WAH WAH THE BOOGIE MAN

Everyone is doing PEDS, son, Irving is a frigging condor. It's okay for you to enjoy him.

It's okay.

I am enjoying him. I called him a beast above. But you will be singing the blues too if the next suspension is a year long. You just never know with some of these guys. I bet its something the front office takes into consideration.

** With the way he is playing, I wonder if the Cowboys already have to pencil in a first-round tender offer to defensive lineman David Irving as a restricted free agent this offseason. The Cowboys could put the second-round tender on him, but that might not scare off every team in the league from making an offer sheet to Irving. Teams with beaucoup amounts of salary-cap space might be willing to give up a second-rounder for Irving, who is showing he can play end or tackle. A first-round pick is a little different story. Irving has six sacks in four games this season. He admits to wondering what kind of numbers he would have in a full season. So do the Cowboys. But considering the price it will take to keep defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, who is set to be an unrestricted free agent, the Cowboys’ budget might be tighter than expected.
