You are insane.

Johnston isn't even close to Theismann's level in that regard. I think both he and to a greater extent, Aikman go out of their way at times to criticize the Cowboys.

You will never hear that from Theismann.

Moose in no way shape or form goes out of his way to critcize the Cowboys. His silver and blue comes thru quite clearly in the booth. But I love it. Aikman on the other hand goes out of his way to criticize the Boys. Way to much in my opinion. They probally need to meet in the middle some where.

that' the one I'm talking about..... Like I said Aikman tells it like it is! No homerism.... He could have said We're stinking it up but he didn't...

Theisman would have been making excuses for HIS team!

Aikman does not tell it like it is. He goes out of his way to criticize the Boys. Aikman and Buck are the best but when they call Cowboys games I try to listen to the radio call instead.

the boys have deserved criticism over the last couple of years.... Aikman is correct for doing so!

Kornheiser is on the Dan Patrick show right now. Simply saying he is not sure why he took the job and wanted to get out of it. He said he doesn't like to travel, doesn't stay up that late, doesn't like to share the microphone, but took it because a writer NEVER gets offered this job. Doesn't sound like he is too excited about it.

That's his schtick....self deprecating humor...stuff like that. He's thrilled, I'm sure. Except he fears flying. Maybe he can commandeer the Madden Cruiser.

My, how far MNF has fallen.

In a few more years it will be on The Ocho with Tom Arnold, Gilbert Gottfried and Dr. Phil in the booth.

There aren't many broadcasting teams I can't stand. Usually, I just put up with whatever is given and watch the game. This, though, is highly unexciting.

Monday Night Football is going to become nothing but another game on a different night. Everything they seem to be doing is a step backward, IMO.

Is it still true that NBC's Sunday Night Football gets a choice of which games to televise late in the season to draw a better matchup, but MNF will not? Or was that just a rumor?

I really like it, overall. Tirico is the best in the business, in my opinion, and I always look forward to the games he announces. Theisman is a complete idiot. I think Kornheiser is excellent on Pardon the Interruption, and he knows a heck of a lot more football than Dennis Miller did, so I think he'll be more effective. I'm pretty sure he also thinks Joe Theisman is an idiot, so at least it'll be entertaining.

He's a homer without the cocky arrogant tone Theisman brings..... Thiesman is NEVER wrong according to him!

Quite the homer indeed. He picked against the Commanders in both games vs. The Cowboys. Both the games vs. The Giants, and the first game against the Eagles. Guess he was a homer one out of 6.

I heard him on Dan Patrick as well. He was actually pretty funny. He spent about half the time making fun of Theisman. It got to the point that I was surprised that the two would be able to work together after all he said.

It may not be so bad.

First of all, where will Michaels and Madden land?

Second, the game being taken off network Television should never have been allowed to happen.

Third, Tirico is the only one in that booth I can listen to without cringing.

Lastly, I actually hope we don't get MNF games (I know we will) because of this 3 man crew.

Howard Cosell must be turning over in his grave.

Al Michaels and John Madden were the two-man crew for 'Monday Night Football' for two years, and will team up now on NBC's Sunday night broadcasts.

How can he join the MNF team? As any fan of PTI would know he goes to bed at or before halftime.

I think Mike Greenberg's comments when discussing this are telling of the type "entertainment" that ESPN's looking for.

This morning he was talking about this and mentioned how Aikman is really good and knows football but he never says anything that's talked about around the watercooler the next morning.

I take that as they could give a rat's patootie about football fans or even the game, they just want people talking about ESPN for any reason. I think it's pretty evident that they "encourage" the studio people to say outrageous things to stir up controversy. They've gone from reporting about the story to trying to be part of the story.

It's little wonder that some people are starting to avoid them like the plague.

Turn off the volume and just watch the game. Honestly I don't get upset with the guys in the booth because most of the time I'm not paying attention to them, I'm watching the game and really do not need them to explain any of it to me so I just block them out.

the funny thing is that Moose is such a Homer that he makes Thiesman look like a Skins hater with his level of Homerism.

To compare Moose to Theisman just shows your ignorance. There have been multiple posts asking why ex-Cowboy commentators don't support the team enough. The only person who is a bigger homer than Theisman is Jaworski.

I like Kornheiser but he isn't nearly as funny without Wilbon. Those two play well off each other. Theismann is the worst and I probably won't watch MNF because of him. I can't stand his voice and commentary. He contradicts himself between quarters. Tirico is awful too.

If I had my choice, I would put Al Michaels, Troy Aikman and Skip Bayless in the booth. That would be my ideal setup.

Al Michaels has the best play by play voice. Aikman is the most objective commentator in the business who isn't afraid to criticize "untouchables" like Parcells or Bellichek. Skip Bayless is a media hack that is disguised as a professional journalist. He wears a suit, is well spoken and can write well. Bayless' cynical nature would fill in those dull moments by adding drama and picking at things that no one else would find.

It wouldn't surprise me if SNF becomes more popular than MNF. I think the ratings for MNF will tank.

Aikman I agree with but Moose is pro-Cowboy even though he is critical of us. When he does our games and we finally go ahead, you can hear how happy he is.
