They are 4-1.

Remember, the LIONS were 6-2 at midway last year. :)

just because you hope they will go away...does not mean they will...that is what Skins fans did all last year as we were piling up wins....they kept reminding us of Romo dropping the ball in Seattle....well we kept winning....and we won more than anyone else. The Skins play defense...that will not change....because they do it without ego,....they do it without name players....they do it with starters injured. Heck they did it last year without there starting QB and best defensive player....they just go out and win.

Sounds good to me, but I am worried about the "trap" game and that could easily be the Rams, Browns, or Lions coming up. If Norv was still our coach I'd be a bit more worried, but Zorn has these guys playing hard and they have confidence so hopefully it won't happen.

Who knows..maybe the Skins will be back in Texas Stadium in Dec.....but Fedex Field sounds better.

Interesting. Commanders are hot now - I see no traps other than Cleveland.

check my post history....i live in DC area....i hanve consistently said the skins will start winning games when they start scoring 21 points....why? Because of there defense! They have had no Shawn Springs and Jason Taylor....Sean Taylor has passed.....yet they STILL know how to defend. They do not let mediocre players (like the WRs for Philly) have career days! All we have is a bunch of guys that like to "pose" or "flex" after they make THEIR ONE PLAY FOR THE DAY

I said it all offseason...our team will not take the next step until our defense becomes dominant. And thus far it does not look like it will happen. So be satisfied with making the playoffs and exiting quickly.

What bothers me so much about this is the fact that we have locked so many of these players on defense into expensive long term deals....and the Canty camp wants us to do the same thing....if the defense plays like this the rest of the year....either Chris Canty or Marcus Spears will have to be let go.....we cannot pay both of these bums big money to keep them. I know many of you will say get rid of them both....but Tank and Canty are free agents...and Spears will only have one year remaining....so we need some warm bodies. But Jerry cannot continue to extend these guys....he extended Roy, he extended Bradie....he extended Hamlin...he extended Newman..he extended Ratliff...he gave big free agent money to Henry, he is going to have to extend Ware...he is going to have to decide whether or not he wants to extend Burnett....he spent 1st round picks on Carpenter, Spencer and Jenkins...none of which start or get signficant playing time. So the brutal truth is he has a lot of money tied up in a lot of average players(except for Ratliff, and Ware is going to have to be MORE dominant if he wants to be the highest paid defensive player in the NFL, which is where I think this is headed).

Go look at the Skins depth chart on defense...who would we want other than Landry and Fletcher....YET THEY GET IT DONE. And all we get is a line of guys who want Jerry's millions....because the fans put them in the Pro Bowl!

Yea Santana never "flex' after first down, nor Clinton Portis never celebrates after a TD, they are playing well right and and we both have the same record its a long season, and I can't wait to get them in Landover this year, I expect all these talented Cowboys to come together at the end of the year for a big run because we have too many good players

They don't?! Silly me. I could have sworn they just beat Philly with three defensive starters sitting...

All of my friends in DC are already stating that the Commanders are going to the Super Bowl. It kills me how people jump on a bandwagon when their team suddenly plays well for a couple games this early in the season. Its a different team every year.

But you do have to admit, they shut Philly down after the 1st quarter yesterday.

So true he not going to run 140+ each game either.

Campbell was 16 for 29, no picks and no turnovers... Whoopity-doo... Like I said, they suck... You put pressure on Campbell, he is absolutely ineffective... Beating the Commanders has always come down to one thing, stop Portis...

But I'm not gonna bust on them hard right now, because my team is playing like a bunch of girls...

I would put 8 in the box and make Campbell beat us. I think Newman and Pacman match up well with Moss and Randle El.

Campbell has no picks for the year...

Fixed.

You have to give Campbell some credit after two big wins over NFC East rivals. He is the only starting QB in the league that hasn't thrown an INT all year. The question is, can they keep this up the rest of the year and into the playoffs?

I think its because the Skins have an offensive game plan now to cater to what he can do which is short throws, lots of slants which is hard to get interceptions on. I wouldn't doubt later on in the season he will get more interceptions has teams adjust to the Zorn WCO. Also whos you'lls DC? Hes alot better than Stewert.

3 Starters Missing on Defense, 1 on offense. 3 second round draft picks not seeing much playing time.....Yet they still continue to win... You are absolutely correct with this comment

Nice general comment about the Commanders. Campbell does suck, especially in the fourth quarter of games. Keep living in the past, this isn't the same Jason C. that has been playing the last couple years.

So you base it on 16 for 29. I guess we forget about the 20-31 the week before or the 22-30 the week before that. The Eagles are the best team in the league at putting pressure on the QB and JC sure looked pretty effective to me. But I can pull some stats from my *** too to try and validate an idiotic post

Well here is the scary part. The Commanders will get better as the year goes on

First of all, this team is only 5 games into this new offense. Nobody has it down pat yet and the offense will only get better and turn these FG's into touchdowns

Devin Thomas, Malcolm Kelly and Fred Davis haven't been a part of the game plan, yet. These 3 guys will add another dimension to the offense as they become more comfortable with the pro game. Being rookies and the time that Thomas and Kelly missed, I didn't expect them to make an impact until November

Jason Taylor, Marcus Washington and Shawn Springs were all out this week. If these guys can get to 100 percent, or close to it in the back half, this D will be that much better

The rest of the division games are at home. The rest of the schedule besides that is against losing teams, except for Pittsburgh:

Rams
Browns
Lions
Seahawks
Ravens
Bengals
49ers

7 very winnable games right there. 3 division games at home. The offense getting more comfortable with the new system as the season goes along. Missing players on the D coming back

It is going to be a fun ride gentlemen :)

I love the way Adam always tries to use numbers to prove his point. haha.

I can do that too.

Just give them props. They are a solid football team, certainly worthy of being considered for possibly making the playoffs.

look at your surroundings

I think it's funny that you guys come in here looking for validation, and get pissed when Cowboy fans don't give it to you, you got your props last week, be happy

And last week is over, I am not rubbing your nose in it. It's a long season and we are only about 1/3 through it.

Summer, I don't need validation. I just find it funny that Adam always tries to use numbers to validate his point of view. Not to mention someone dismissing the Commanders by saying they have no depth...that is clearly wrong.

For example: The Commanders have won 4 games in a row, and beaten the #2,#3,#4, and #5 best offenses in the NFL.

Honestly that does not make the Commanders defense great. But his point that the Commanders wins have only been by a TD or less is irrelevant. The Patriots won 3 SBs by 3 points each. Does that take away from their win ? No.
