I think it's funny that you guys come in here looking for validation, and get pissed when Cowboy fans don't give it to you, you got your props last week, be happy

This is a trickle compared to the flood of Cowboy fans on Commanders boards last season

I think there are like 5 or 6 of us here, at most

We are not looking for "props" or anything though from Cowboy fans, I like talking football, and as evidenced by my posting history (along with Skins and Terps and Sonny #9) we have been here through some thin times as well in DC

The win column is all the validation we need

You're right. I don't want your validation. I love just the plain STUPID things some of the posters here say to try and downplay the Skins early-season successes.

Especially the ones who still insist Campbell sucks...and we have no depth...someone isn't paying attention!

Campbell does suck.

Keep 'em coming. No depth either right?

I'm not going to say that however how is he not average at best? I don't think he is a good QB.

The thing about the Commanders is that their wins have been by five points, seven points, two points and six points. They're 4-0 in games decided by a touchdown or less. That's fine and dandy, but it's difficult to keep that up over the course of the season. Unless they show the ability to start beating teams by more than a few points, some of those close games most likely will start going the other way and end up being losses.
Your point would have more validity if we didn't kneel the ball in each game. We didn't win the game on last minute FGs or fluke plays, we scored and then got the ball back and shoved the ball down the opposing teams' throats until the game was over.

A big key to me will be seeing whether we put away the next 3 games. In recent years, we'd have losses to teams that had no business beating us. If we can get to 7-1 at the midpoint, then I'm ready to say we are ready to duke it out for the division in November.

Campbell was 16 for 29, no picks and no turnovers... Whoopity-doo... Like I said, they suck... You put pressure on Campbell, he is absolutely ineffective... Beating the Commanders has always come down to one thing, stop Portis...

But I'm not gonna bust on them hard right now, because my team is playing like a bunch of girls...

It's funny. One bad game, and he suddenly goes back to "Quincy Campbell". The fact is, he had one bad game. The last three weeks he had a QB rating of over 100. All together on the season, he still has a rating of 95.

But what does this say about the skins offense? Our offense plays horrible, and we are still able to pull out a tough win on the road against a division opponent. This offense is very versatile, and it will only get better with our rookie WR's getting more into the mix.

But, we do suck, you're right. Actually, I would love teams to have that mentality about us the rest of the year... it sure has worked for us these last two weeks, huh?

Also consider the calibre of teams we've put down...Saints are no joke. Arizona humbled Buffalo, and Dallas and Philly are Dallas and Philly. Dallas knows how to finish games as well, as evidenced yesterday.

Its not like we've won by narrow margins against the dregs of the league...though that being said I hope we don't have a letdown the next 3 weeks.

How many "average QBs" go five games (176 straight pass attempts now -- a Commanders record) without turning the ball over? That's pretty good. How many "average QBs" get hit the way Campbell did in the 1st quarter and not crater? After starting 0-for-5, he rebounded nicely finishing 16 of 24, 176 yards. Not great, but not bad either. It could have been a lot worse. He also made several clutch throws to extend drives -- and one key scramble.

He is making smart decisions with the football, and making most of the throws.

The only reason you say he's "average at best" is b/c he has an Indian on the side of his helmet.

I would put 8 in the box and make Campbell beat us. I think Newman and Pacman match up well with Moss and Randle El.

Really? So Moss 8 catches for 145 yards was "matching up well?"

That's what I was thinking. We don't match up well with him, at all, and the fans here should know that by now.

I give the Skins their props. They're playing very good right now and I don't think anyone is going to be going out there and taking them lightly. If they do then they're foolish.

Honestly, that was one of the dumbest things I've ever read on here...I love it.

That's going to be interesting to see here on out. Up until now the Skins had a bit of a sneak-up-factor. Now they've beaten some "better" teams, according to McNabb, teams will take them more seriously.

And, people will begin to know how to defend Zorn's offense better as well.

The good news with that is the offense is only going to get better

Remember, these guys are only in their 5th game in this O and this without any serious contributions from the 2nd round picks

Also, didn't Zorn say something about not implementing the full offense yet? Or something like that?

But don't get your hopes up -- remember Jason Campbell sucks. :D

Your Cowboys put quite a bit of pressure on him in Dallas and he was pretty effective.

All of my friends in DC are already stating that the Commanders are going to the Super Bowl. It kills me how people jump on a bandwagon when their team suddenly plays well for a couple games this early in the season. Its a different team every year.

But you do have to admit, they shut Philly down after the 1st quarter yesterday.

My Cowboy friends and every media member from DC to LA said Dallas was going to win the SB..........during Training Camp.

A couple of DC sportstalk radio dopes have spewed and gotten folks giddy.

We havent clinched anything yet.....til we clinch the postseas we need to stay "medium".

HTTR.

Getting into the postseason means little IMO as we were there last year and also in 2005. I'm staying "medium" until we clinch the division and/or HFA. Very few teams do what the Giants did last year...so winning the division and getting that first round bye are important.

that's w/ 0 INTs on the year? I thought it would have been higher

And last week is over, I am not rubbing your nose in it. It's a long season and we are only about 1/3 through it.

Summer, I don't need validation. I just find it funny that Adam always tries to use numbers to validate his point of view. Not to mention someone dismissing the Commanders by saying they have no depth...that is clearly wrong.

For example: The Commanders have won 4 games in a row, and beaten the #2,#3,#4, and #5 best offenses in the NFL.

Honestly that does not make the Commanders defense great. But his point that the Commanders wins have only been by a TD or less is irrelevant. The Patriots won 3 SBs by 3 points each. Does that take away from their win ? No.

idk what that has to do w/ having depth, and it's pretty much the same tact you are accusing Adam of using

you guys have always had a pretty good D, I think alot of your success this year there has to do w/ scheming, and talent

yes, some have exaggerated that point to try to downplay you guys more
