It's really time for both Dak sides to stop and move on

+1.....as a matter of fact, many would been content to move on IF Jerry had a legit replacement plan but he didn't.
Many would have been content to move on if we had a promising young QB we were developing behind Dak that had gotten a few opportunities due to injuries and showed promise. Many fans here wanted to move on from Dak then start looking for his replacement, which would’ve been stupid. We would have been stuck with a journeyman QB in 2025.

Look no further than the game day threads........they are waiting to attack every/any negative play. They are not going anywhere......there were only a half dozen threads immediately following Sunday's game. Wait for the first loss and the numbers go through the roof. As stated some have agendas
He could throw five straight great passes, and as soon as he has a misfire, they start bashing him. I’ve never seen an agenda like that. Some of these idiots were trying to spin that Trey Lance looked good in preseason and should be the starter. I’ve never seen a dumber group of fans.

Lol no, it will be that they won in spite of Dak.

They all hate stats when they are good for Dak and say "but he lost," but love them against Cleveland even though they won. These people are barely literate, let alone able to move away from the narrative they hold so dear to their hearts.
That's exactly what I said in another post. If Dak plays great in "garbage time" it doesn't count, but if he plays poorly it does count.

Exactly. People bring up Mahomes but forget he sat his rookie season behind Alex Smith.

Mahomes got a few opportunities, his rookie year and looked really good. KC felt very comfortable moving on from Alex Smith once they saw the potential Mahomes had.

I’d like to see proof that his contract will take up 33% of the cap next year. I don’t believe you’re telling the truth.
Dude, I just posted what I read on the site. It says 33% of the cap. I didn't just come up with that number on my own. Take your post and send it to Spotrac, and tell them they are lying.

How on earth do they know that without knowing what the salary cap is next year?

So no proof. Just as I suspected.

Please reread my post if you think I'm moaning. Terrible take on what I'm saying.
Having trouble understanding the take some people are perceiving on things.

I had a lot of positive comments this week...ONE time I mentioned I'd like to see better run blocking and was told I have a miserable life.

I'm like wait what?
Weird.

Yeah man I can’t respond to those essays. I use to read them then I realized he would completely take my post out of context I’m like no I can’t no more lol.
it's almost as if he has a response ready before reading what you say. rarely addresses your point, just reiterates what he was saying previously, only longer.

You sound just like Dak. "Just forget that I suck in the playoffs and move on. And make me the highest paid player on the planet before you leave".
"No! I choose to continue looking like a crybaby!!! WAAAAH DAK SUCKS!!!"

THEN LEAVE, LIL GUY!!!!

I mean, it's kinda hard to make a fuss about resigning him or not when the ink has already dried on his fancy new contract. If he fails in the playoffs again, we lose Micah due to finances, or end up with an udertalented roster due to his massive cap hit, he's fair game. Until then, I think I'll just enjoy the ride. 1-0 BABY!!!

Patrick Mahomes played well enough with the opportunities afforded to him in the Chief's final game of 2017. Mahomes played all four quarters and helped the Kansas City defeat Denver by three.

However, Mahomes never touched the field in any other game that season. 5-of-11 Kansas City's drives ended in punts. Kareem Hunt and Anthony Sherman ran for both Chief's touchdowns. And Darien Stewart picked off Mahomes early in the first quarter.

Mahomes' one game, 22-for-35, 284 yards, 76.4 passer rating/66.8 QBR, was a solid start to a since certified Hall of Fame career.

He looked good in preseason and played that one regular season game in week 17. The Chiefs traded up into the top 10 to draft Mahomes, so the plan all along was to move on from Alex Smith at some point. Mahomes showed enough in preseason his rookie year and in that final regular season game for them to turn the keys over to him the following year. He turned into much more than what they probably hoped for.

I’ll continue to do what I’ve always done. I’ll praise Dak when he performs well and criticize him when he doesn’t. I thought his TD throw to Cookes was maybe his best anticipation throw of his career. I also thought he looked rusty and late or inaccurate on about 1/2 of his throws, and that is normal for the first game of the year from him.

I think something we need to be objective about is that Dak is going to get high scrutiny until he gets to an NFC championship, which he absolutely can with this defense, o-line, and Aubrey’s widowmaker leg

I’m rooting for him, but will be objective like I try to be with every player (e.g. Zack M is looking like an average guard these days)
The whole league looked rusty for the most part. Consequences of shortened preseason and no one playing to any extent of usefulness!
