Not really!!??

I think that some of you think you know everything about the cap? YOU DONT!

they did it on purpose ,they're not stupid ,they know more about the cap than you the money they're saving this year from Prescott, steele ,&lambs, they just redid steel it carries over in the next year..

it's all pushed in the next year, that means the regular cap doesn't apply, there will be a larger cap pool for them to utilize, I think they know what they're doing literally you called them stupid again ,

you think they sat there and just overlook this and get it by accident and now they're like, oh what we do we move too much to next year? As if they made a mistake it just happened to wake up and realize ohh man I wish we would have consulted the Internet world on how to run our $10 billion franchise...!!!!!!!

Jerry and Stephen do not do this on their own, they have lawyers ,they have CPA's, they have people that are smarter than you that handles the cap., FACT.. They might not be a top five executive team up there but they sure aren't the worst in the NFL... I think they understand the cap and they have it handled they don't need your help..lmao:facepalm::muttley::angry::popcorn:
Everything you said here is an assumption. I know enough about a structure of a contract. You are acting like it's rocket science. Maybe it is to you, but I don't find it difficult. You're acting like this guy is some genius. How many owners wait until gameday to resign their franchise QB to the highest possible contract? It's not dumb luck or coincidence that the Cowboys haven't been to a championship game in almost 30 years. There's a reason for it. It's not complimentary.

Only 2 guarantees on this board:

1: Dak lovers will unite when he excels, and the haters will jump at his first INT
2. I consider myself one of the very few fans of this team who can be objective. When you are a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Reds you have no choice but to be objective. We calm ourselves by expecting the worst, it makes the blows so much easier to deal with
You follow two teams with rich histories of success.

100%, and they will further their hate to anybody who potentially threatens Dak. The excuses for Rodgers, Burrow and Caleb the last couple of days are quite comical. Ar cannot be touched by anybody in the Media, as if he controls their every thought. I have been critical of Dak the last few years, but the one thing he has been able to do is not to let his critics affect him. If things go South in NY, the Jets will be a must-watch team if you enjoy soap operas...not only that but when Vikings players feel sorry for Danny Dimes this will only add to the buzz
Trance did not even threaten Rush. Who are they kidding.

Dak is here for 3 years minimum. If he does great awesome, I just want the Cowboys to win in the postseason.
If he does poorly, that will suck, as it will be an anchor on the team.
So, I hope he does well and gets the playoff monkey off his back.

I wish some would just stop derailing threads or repeating the same argument for years. He's here, accept it.
There are some here that would talk about not being able to do it again the second after Dak and Jerry were to win a SB. They are literally sick with a disease

That's the thing....if only we could sincerely engage instead poke and instigate.
There was a recent post where the op replied immediately to his own starter with "this will really get their nerves".

We just don't need crap like that.
Let's try our best to unite and be civil even in disagreement.

I won't hold my breath.

(Yes...it's true....I have been... ...disagreeable? :) ...but never to intentionally antagonize)
Exactly. The dialogue has gotten so dishonest on both sides that it is basically pure hyperbole, lies, and instigation of more ridiculous exchanges of insults.

Neither side seems capable of an honest and fair assessment of the Dak situation and it has gotten VERY old at this point. I am completely amazed how posters for years on end will literally dedicate all of their engagement with the forum to pointless arguments about the QB.

Some of them are already at it again in this thread. It's extremely childish behavior.

It's really time for both sides to stop and move on. Dak's deal is done, like it or not. Stop poking each other with sticks in every thread, for God's sake.
No doubt, and I don't even want to read these threads either but I still do....:banghead:

No I stand by what I said you're worried about how they structured it as if they don't know better than you the good reason to the why and that it would be good for the team to do so.. I still think it's cute that a lot of you in here think you no more than an entire organization that run a $10 billion team you act like it's one guy up there making all the decisions and it is not there some very smart people that do this for a living they had good reasons to do it and nobody's turning to you to ask for your advice because I bet you're way off base... In the championships the 28 year thing seriously that's what you gonna fall back on because you don't have an argument because you don't know how to run a $10 billion NFL franchise and you think you know that somehow they made a mistake or a misstep in the way they structured it and they had no real good reason to do so even though we both not true you're the one who doesn't understand why they did it..

Salary cap has nothing to do with this whole nonsense about 30 years if you're that upset about it you can take a walk all these people that threaten the Prescott got signed and many other things threatened to walk out and leave the team because of this historically bad offseason historically bad running backroom and all the nonsense that almost always is off base and now it's you with the salary cap... Let it go nobody in here knows more then our front office and our ownership group who hires plenty of smart people and pays them very well to make sure this kind of stuff gets done the way they need it to get done they're not guessing they're not going darts at a wheel with like suggestions.

I know you think that but at least as business people you may not like our front office as the way they manage the team but they have more than one $1 billion business they have Papa John's franchises they have other things that they do they don't do this alone they have some very professional and very well paid people to do this and they don't need help from the peanut gallery that would be you and anybody in here that thinks i can do a better job....

Tell me, why do we need 26M in cap space right now? We're going to carry over 26M? For all the free agents we'll sign? You do remember me mentioning that Dak will be close to a 33% cap hit next year, right? That's probably a league record for a QB that is still on the active roster. This is somehow smart? Jerry is an evil genius?

QBs not named Patrick Mahomes can't get to a SB at 15% of the cap, let alone 33%. Or do we push a boatload of money forward again. If you want to make the argument that this is necessary to keep the player, fine, but his cap hits aren't a positive. You need water to put out your house fire. That doesn't mean the water is a good thing for the house.

It’s easy to be a “poor me and my team” fan. I see a lot of that here. Actual men come on here to get sympathy from like minded ladies which is pitiful.

It’s one thing after a loss to feel bad, but to feel sad all the time is weak. IMO. Get some fan balls. Don’t be a little *****. :D
