Tell me, why do we need 26M in cap space right now? We're going to carry over 26M? For all the free agents we'll sign? You do remember me mentioning that Dak will be close to a 33% cap hit next year, right? That's probably a league record for a QB that is still on the active roster. This is somehow smart? Jerry is an evil genius?

QBs not named Patrick Mahomes can't get to a SB at 15% of the cap, let alone 33%. Or do we push a boatload of money forward again. If you want to make the argument that this is necessary to keep the player, fine, but his cap hits aren't a positive. You need water to put out your house fire. That doesn't mean the water is a good thing for the house.
I'm not reading this none of us are qualified to discuss the damn salary cap so I'm not reading your post and I'm not discussing it I'm trusting that they know more than us and who cares about the salary cap right now why do fans even care? We're in 2024 not 2025 let's watch the damn games let's debate football and stop acting like you're a general manager of some kind of front office executive for the NFL because you're not we are not qualified to discuss it you have no idea why they did what they did so let it go bro..

It’s never going to stop with the Dak haters. We’re going to continue to hear the same bellyaching for the next four years of this contract unless we win a Super Bowl. Even then someone will continue to complain about him because they have an agenda.
Look no further than the game day threads........they are waiting to attack every/any negative play. They are not going anywhere......there were only a half dozen threads immediately following Sunday's game. Wait for the first loss and the numbers go through the roof. As stated some have agendas

None of the fans that support Dak go overboard about him. They all realize he has flaws just like every QB in the league
+1.....as a matter of fact, many would been content to move on IF Jerry had a legit replacement plan but he didn't.

You know what they say, "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me"

Dak ain't fooling anybody who has seen this movie over and over! We know the ending!

All Jerry cares about is staying relevant!
I get it....I'm just different, hope springs eternal.

Teams make mistakes. We see it. Everything Jerry does is not perfect. He's imperfect. He makes mistakes like everyone else. I'm not saying I'm better, I'm looking at it in hindsight. I'm sure there is a reason behind what he did. It remains to be seen. I'll be the first to give him credit if I'm proven wrong.

It's really time for both sides to stop and move on. Dak's deal is done, like it or not. Stop poking each other with sticks in every thread, for God's sake.
Moan all you want and close your eyes then open them...Dak will still be here. Unify and support your qb. No other choice really. Simple.

I’d like to see proof that his contract will take up 33% of the cap next year. I don’t believe you’re telling the truth.

Everything you said here is an assumption. I know enough about a structure of a contract. You are acting like it's rocket science. Maybe it is to you, but I don't find it difficult. You're acting like this guy is some genius. How many owners wait until gameday to resign their franchise QB to the highest possible contract? It's not dumb luck or coincidence that the Cowboys haven't been to a championship game in almost 30 years. There's a reason for it. It's not complimentary.
you'd be better off not responding to that guy and just letting him rant away.

All I know, with him starting we make the playoffs majority of the time. This the most consistent we ever been since the 90s and people are not happy. If you consistently make the playoffs then the team will eventually breakthrough.

Starting this thread should ensure people stop talking about it, don't you think?
